Orlando City Faces New Challenge on the Road Against Red Bulls
Orlando City, one of the association’s best street groups, is preparing for a major test against the New York Red Bulls, who haven’t lost a home game in the Eastern Conference yet. This confrontation is set for Saturday in Harrison, New Jersey.
Red Bulls’ Home Dominance
The Red Bulls have transformed their home field into a fort, flaunting a 4-0-2 record. Their most recent victory was a 3-1 win over Charlotte FC, where they snapped Charlotte’s five-game dash of not surrendering an objective by mesh three in only ten minutes during the last part.
Despite a slow start and a long halftime because of a weather delay, the Red Bulls came out strong after the break. “We changed our intensity and energy,” said New York coach Sandro Schwarz. “You can’t play a perfect game every week, but it’s great to see we can adapt and stay focused on our game plan.”
Orlando City’s Road Resilience
On the flip side, Orlando City had a mixed feeling after their 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire. Facundo Torres scored early, but the Fire cranked up the pressure in the second half and managed to equalize in the 70th minute. “We started to play a little too comfortably with the ball, and they found their way into the game,” Torres noted.
Still, this draw kept Orlando’s unbeaten streak on the road alive, now at five matches (3-0-2). Last season, Orlando was the top MLS team on the road, racking up 31 points.
Key Players and Injuries
Orlando City will be missing their top scorer Duncan McGuire, who has five goals but is out with a shoulder injury. Defender Robin Jansson is also out due to a suspension from accumulating too many yellow cards.
For the Red Bulls, Cameron Harper (hamstring) and Kyle Duncan (illness) are uncertain after missing the last game against Charlotte.
Previous Encounter
The last time these two groups met was on Walk 30 in Orlando, where they finished in a 1-1 draw. This impending match is an opportunity for the two groups to show their solidarity and get critical focuses in the standings.
