On Sunday, June 16, the 2024 UFL Championship game will be live from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. After an exciting inaugural season, the United Football League will wrap up its first year with an intriguing championship matchup between the Birmingham Stallions and San Antonio Brahmas.
The Stallions were a popular pick at the beginning of the year to contend for the championship. But the Brahmas were a surprise entrant into the Championship game. Let’s take a closer look at the latest UFL odds and how to bet on the UFL Championship game.

Birmingham Stallions (-175)
- Record: 9-1
- SoS: .410
- SoV: .378
The Birmingham Stallions opened the UFL season as the betting favorites to win the championship at +300 odds. The Stallions were coming off two straight USFL Championships (2022 & 2023) and entered the season with a loaded roster. In fact, Birmingham quarterback Adrian Martinez would go on to win the UFL MVP award after amassing 1,749 passing yards, 15 TDs and just three interceptions. He also ran for 528 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season.
A few of Martinez’s most notable performances during the regular season, included four touchdown throws against the Memphis Showboats on May 4th and a five total touchdown performance against the Houston Roughnecks on May 18th. Ultimately, Martinez led this offense to the top ranking in the league.
Despite finishing the year with the best record, the Stallions were in a battle against the Michigan Panthers in the USFL Conference title matchup. The Panthers got out to an 18-3 first half lead before the Stallions could tie it up at the end of the third quarter. Birmingham would go on to score 13 more points in the fourth quarter to win the game 31-18 and punch their ticket into the Championship.
With the UFL MVP on their roster, plenty of championship experience, and a talented coaching staff led by Skip Holtz, it’s easy to see why the Stallions are the favorites for this weekend’s matchup.

San Antonio Brahmas (+155)
- Record: 7-3
- SoS: .470
- SoV: .414
To say the San Antonio Brahmas were the biggest surprise of the season, would be an understatement. The Brahmas opened with +1500 odds to win the UFL Championship, which made them the biggest longshot of the league. They would go on to prove oddsmakers wrong by finishing the regular season with a 7-3 record and a second-place finish in the XFL Conference.
Furthermore, the Wade Phillips led squad ended the regular season with the top ranked defense and the third ranked offense. The team was well-balanced on both sides of the ball, which was evident in the Conference title game against the St. Louis Battlehawks.
Despite being a 3-point underdog, the Brahmas (+135) were able to get out to a 13-3 half-time lead against the Battlehawks due to their stingy defense and opportunistic offense. It was that defense that cemented the victory by smothering the St. Louis offense in the fourth quarter, scoring a touchdown and holding on for a 25-15 victory.
Now, the Brahmas will take their brand of football into the Championship game and try to continue defying the oddsmakers.

UFL Championship Predictions
This game is going to be more competitive than what the records or odds indicate. In fact, we could see the Brahmas complete their Cinderella season by defeating the Stallions, just like they did in Week 9 of the regular season.
San Antonio was the lone blemish on Birmingham’s 9-1 regular season record this year. The Brahams defeated the Stallions 18-9 on May 25th and did it with their elite defense.
The Brahmas defense held the league’s best offense to one of their worst outings of the year by holding the Stallions to just nine points and 278 total yards.
Offensively, the Brahmas tallied over 329 yards in the Week 9 matchup and were led by running back Anthony McFarland who finished with 84 rushing yards and 34 receiving yards on six receptions. Backfield mate Morgan Ellison scored two rushing touchdowns as San Antonio finished with 127 rushing yards in the game.
Considering this contest was just a few weeks ago, we can’t say that these two teams are different since then. If anything, that was the moment we realized that San Antonio was a legit Playoff team.
It should also come as no surprise that the Brahmas offense is on a roll now that their top running back has returned. Since Week 8, McFarland has averaged 123.7 yards per game, which has made this offense even more difficult to stop.
In the XFL Conference title game last weekend, the Brahmas rushed for 213 yards as McFarland finished with 115 rushing yards including a 69-yard touchdown. Backfield mate John Lovett tallied 83 yards on 18 carries.
Birmingham will need to play mistake-free football to win on Sunday. Unfortunately for fans of this team, I don’t see that happening. They were flagged for 11 penalties in the USFL Conference title game last weekend and I see those mistakes continuing this weekend. Additionally, the Stallions offense looked anemic against San Antonio a few weeks ago.
This Brahmas defense is playing lights-out and I fully expect them to give the Stallions plenty of fits in the Championship game, just like they did in Week 9. Look for the 1-2 punch of McFarland and Lovett to run all over the Birmingham defense as they surpass the 200-yard mark.
I’m taking the upset in this matchup. I like the Brahmas to ride their stingy defense and powerful rushing attack to a thrilling UFL Championship victory.
UFL Bet: San Antonio Brahmas (+155)
