The Rockies are expected to start right-handed rookie Tanner Gordon (0-2, 10.61 ERA). Gordon has made two starts since his major league debut on July 7 but has yet to face the Giants.

Interestingly, the last time the Giants played a doubleheader was against the Rockies last September in Denver, due to an earlier rainout. The Rockies swept that pair 9-5 and 5-2.
