Week 7 of the 2024-25 NFL Season is the most unique week so far. Not only do we have teams on a Bye, but we also have two Monday Night Football games and a London game. It’s certainly going to be a fun week for football fans and bettors alike.
For the first time since Week 1, the Thursday Night Football matchup will not be a divisional game. This week, TNF features the “Sean Payton” game as the Denver Broncos head to Louisiana to take on Payton’s former team the New Orleans Saints.
There are a handful of Week 7 matchups that could be exciting contests like the Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts, and New York Jets vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The semi-main event of the weekend is a thrilling matchup between the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers. However, the heavyweight showdown of Week 7 is a Super Bowl rematch as the Kansas City Chiefs head to the Bay Area to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
There are only two teams on Bye this week – the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys. For the Bears, it’s a nice break after playing in London the previous week.

Key NFL Week 7 Games
With Week 7 of the NFL season featuring most of the NFL teams, there are a few key Week 7 games that stand out from the rest:
Seattle Seahawks vs. Atlanta Falcons
This NFC clash could have an impact on the Wild Card race at the end of the season. Both the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons have postseason aspirations. For Seattle, it will have to be a Wild Card spot as the 49ers are expected to win the NFC West.
For the Falcons, they have a decent chance at winning the NFC South, but need to win their home games to stay ahead of the teams in their division.
The Seahawks hold a 12-9 advantage in this series. The Falcons have gone 3-2 over the last five head-to-head meetings, but Seattle has won the last two games in Atlanta.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Cleveland Browns
This “Battle of Ohio” is a big early season, AFC North showdown as the Cleveland Browns host their in-state rivals the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Browns have won six of the last eight meetings. Additionally, Cleveland is 6-0 in their last six home games against the Bengals. However, Cincy does hold the all-time advantage in this rivalry with a 53-48 record.
Both teams will by fighting for the AFC North title and/or an AFC Wild Card spot. So, every divisional win has even more impact on the postseason.
Will the Browns remain undefeated at home since 2017, or will the Bengals pick up a huge road victory?
Houston Texans vs. Green Bay Packers
This is an exciting Week 7 matchup and is seen as the semi-main event of the weekend. It’s a battle of two ascending teams with impressive, young quarterbacks.
CJ Stroud leads the Houston Texans into Lambeau Field where they are 1-1 in their two previous trips. The newly paid Jordan Love hopes to lead the Green Bay Packers to a fourth straight victory over the Texans. The Pack hold a 4-1 all-time advantage in this series.
Will the Packers continue their domination of the Texans or will Houston snap a three-game losing streak to Green Bay?
Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts
This used to be an old divisional rivalry, which is why these two AFC teams have played against each other 76 times. However, since the 2002 realignment, the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts have only played against each other 10 times.
Over that 10-game span, the Colts have gone 7-3 against Miami. Surprisingly, the Colts are just 3-3 in home games versus the Dolphins over that stretch. Miami owns the all-time advantage over the Colts with a 48-28 record.
Both teams are angling for Playoff spots this year. However, they both will most likely have to snag one of the three AFC Wild Card spots due to their respective divisions having tough competition at the top.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers
This Week 7 showdown is going to be thrilling to watch. You can imagine that the San Francisco 49ers are chomping at the bit to get a measure of revenge against the Kansas City Chiefs. Although it’s not on the biggest stage, the 49ers will still want to badly win this game.
The Chiefs have won four consecutive games against the 49ers. Which includes the 2024 and 2020 Super Bowls. These two teams last played an in-season matchup in 2022. KC blew out the 49ers that year, by the score of 44-23.
In fact, other than Super Bowl 58, KC has won the last three meetings by double-digits. They also hold a 9-7 all-time advantage over the 49ers.
Can San Francisco get a small measure of revenge in Week 7 or will Kansas City continue to pile on the misery to this franchise and their fans?
New York Jets vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Despite the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers hold a massive advantage in this series with an all-time record of 20-7, it’s been the New York Jets who have won the last two head-to-head meetings. Furthermore, the Jets will enter this Week 7 matchup as the perceived favorite due to their talent on both sides of the ball.
Yet, despite New York’s impressive roster, the Steelers are 3-1 in their last four home games against the Jets.
What also makes this game an intriguing contest to watch, both teams are hoping to make the Playoffs this year. The Steelers were in the Playoffs last year and are hoping to claim a Wild Card spot this year as well. The Jets missed the postseason last year, but they’re a trendy pick to make a deep run in the AFC Playoffs this year.
