The 2021 season for the Oregon Ducks was an interesting one as they had some monster wins, but the team also suffered two losses to end the year. Oregon finished the regular season with ten wins but were blown out in the Pac-12 Championship Game.

The Ducks were blown out by Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game and then suffered a bad loss to the Oklahoma Sooners in the Alamo Bowl.
Ducks Key Losses Heading Into 2022
On the offensive side of the ball, quarterback Anthony Brown is gone, and his absence will leave a pretty big hole. Running backs CJ Verdell and Travis Dye have also moved on from the team, and those were two very productive players.
Kayvon Thibodeaux was one of the best players in the country a season ago, and it will hurt not having him on the defense in 2022. Another potentially big loss comes at the head coaching position as Mario Cristobal is now longer with the team.

Oregon decided to hire a defensive-minded head coach for the 2022 season, and that’s a big change from recent philosophy. That defensive unit should be much improved this season, and it might actually be the difference when betting on the win total.
Bo Nix could be the new quarterback at Oregon, but he will have to win the job. Oregon is once again going to have explosive athletes at the skill position, and they shouldn’t have trouble finding enough offense to win games.
2022 Oregon Football Schedule
The 2022 season for Oregon couldn’t start off any more difficult as they face the Georgia Bulldogs in the season opener. The Ducks will also take on BYU before beginning the conference portion of the schedule.
USC and UCLA are expected to be two of the top teams in the conference this season, and Oregon is fortunate to dodge the Trojans and face the Bruins at home.
