There is a loaded eight-game slate in the NBA on Saturday, with games set to take place from the early afternoon through the end of the night. With that all-day action comes the chance to watch the entirety of a three-team parlay unfold.
Here are our three picks for your NBA parlay action on Saturday.
Toronto Raptors at New York Knicks Preview
Raptors vs. Knicks Predictions
Best Bet – Knicks (-3.5)
The New York Knicks are unquestionably the hottest team in the NBA right now. They have won eight straight games and have rocketed up to fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Against a Raptors team whose effort has been inconsistent at best this season, the Knicks and their newfound culture should be able to cover the number.
Both the Knicks and Raptors’ best players play the power forward position, with Pascal Siakam playing that role for Toronto and Julius Randle doing the same for New York. But Randle has been by far the more consistent player this season and is playing his best basketball down the stretch. Expect him to outperform Siakam, and for the rest of the Knicks to follow his lead en route to another convincing victory.
San Antonio Spurs at New Orleans Pelicans Preview
Spurs vs. Pelicans Predictions
Best Bet – Pelicans (-2)
In this battle between inconsistent Western Conference teams, injuries are going to make the difference. The New Orleans Pelicans are dealing with injuries to Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Steven Adams, while the Spurs are dealing with ailments to DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay. But those injury situations should benefit the Pelicans when all is said and done.
New Orleans has a suitable backup center in Jaxson Hayes, who is a much more athletic player than Adams, even if he lacks some of the more traditional skills for a big man. With DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay questionable for this contest, the Spurs may not have a scorer reliable enough to go toe-to-toe with Zion Williamson, who is getting to the bucket at will lately.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Utah Jazz Preview
Timberwolves vs. Jazz Predictions
Best Bet – Timberwolves (+13.5)
The last leg of our parlay is going to be the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Utah Jazz. Yes, the Jazz have the best record in the NBA and are miles better than the Timberwolves this season.
But the Timberwolves beat the Jazz outright in their first matchup this season and should be able to take advantage of the fact that Donovan Mitchell is poised to miss this contest.
Mitchell is the leading scorer for the Jazz and, while Utah still exhibits brilliant ball movement and shooting without him, it will definitely miss his combination of shooting and slashing. On top of Mitchell’s absence, Karl-Anthony Towns is a bad matchup for Rudy Gobert.
Towns should be able to pull Gobert out of the paint and shoot over him on the perimeter. He can also set up teammates for easier rim runs with the likely Defensive Player of the Year being forced to come out of the paint.
The Jazz should win, but the Timberwolves will keep it respectable.
