The weekend’s NBA action concludes on Sunday, March 26th, with nine games on the schedule. You will be pleased to learn that I have scoured the bookies’ odds to track down the best NBA player props for today’s match-ups. Read on to discover my top five picks.
Donovan Mitchell – Over 26.5 Points (-120)
Earlier this week, Donovan Mitchell registered 31 points in back-to-back games against the Brooklyn Nets, firing the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory on both occasions. On Sunday, the Cavaliers host the Houston Rockets, who find themselves rock bottom of the Western Conference.
Mitchell now averages 27.5 points per game this season, having racked up 1,731 points across 63 outings in 2022-23. With Cleveland occupying fourth place in the Eastern Conference, I’m confident that Mitchell will produce another masterclass against lowly Houston.
Al Horford – Over 6.5 Rebounds (+105)
Al Horford dished up a classic performance when the Boston Celtics thrashed the Indiana Pacers by 25 points last time out, with the experienced 36-year-old amassing nine rebounds. That means Horford has notched 5+ rebounds in eight of his past 10 appearances.
The Boston Celtics occupy second place in the Eastern Conference, while the San Antonio Spurs find themselves second from bottom in the Western Conference. With high-flying Boston visiting struggling San Antonio on Sunday, I expect Horford to produce another solid display.
Fred VanVleet – Over 1.5 Steals (-125)
Only two players have a better steals per game average than Fred VanVleet this season. Indeed, the Toronto Raptors guard averages 1.7 steals per game in 2022-23, while teammate OG Anunoby sits at the summit of the leaderboard with an average of average 2.0.
The Raptors will be confident of dispatching the Washington Wizards on Sunday, as the Wizards have lost nine of their previous 12 games. VanVleet has recorded 2+ steals in 10 of his last 11 outings, so I’m backing him to enjoy plenty of success against Washington.
Mikal Bridges – Over 23.5 Points (-170)
Mikal Bridges registered 27 points in a vital 29-point victory over the Miami Heat on Saturday, helping the Brooklyn Nets snap a five-game losing streak. Let’s not forget that Bridges also racked up 32 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers two days prior, highlighting his ability.
Despite Brooklyn’s recent struggles, Bridges has been on fire of late, achieving 23+ points in 10 of his previous 12 outings. With the inconsistent Orlando Magic up next for the Nets, I can see Bridges bagging over 23.5 points without any real problems on Sunday.
Draymond Green – Over 6.5 Assists (-135)
Since returning from two games on the sidelines, Draymond Green has helped the Golden State Warriors secure three straight victories. After notching seven assists against Houston, Green recorded eight assists against the Dallas Mavericks before adding 10 to his tally against the Philadelphia 76ers last time out.
Green now averages 6.8 assists per game this season, making him the third-most productive forward in the NBA when it comes to assists. That’s why I’m backing him to chalk up over 6.5 assists when the Warriors host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
