The Atlanta Falcons used their first round pick to land former Florida standout Kyle Pitts. Along with the proper size at his position (6-foot-6 and 245 lbs.), he earned a prospect grade of 7.19 at NFL.com. This puts him among the elite players in this year’s NFL draft class.

Pitts is known for his soft hands as an excellent receiver. He is also known for his big play ability. In just eight games last season, he caught 43 passes for 770 yards to average 17.9 yards a reception. More importantly, 12 of those catches went for scores to rank third in the nation in that department.

This performance earned Pitts the John Mackey award as the top tight end in college football. He was also a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff award as the best overall receiver.
