NHL Player Props Picks for Saturday, March 4th 2023

We have no fewer than 12 NHL games to enjoy and bet on this Saturday, March 4th. Accordingly, I have trawled the odds to track down the best NHL player props for today’s action, so be sure to keep reading to unearth my picks.

NHL Betting Sites

Sidney Crosby – Over 0.5 Points (-200)

Penguins vs. Panthers Predictions

The Pittsburgh Penguins have climbed to fourth in the Metropolitan Division following a run of four straight wins. On Saturday, the Penguins face the Florida Panthers, who find themselves sixth in the Atlantic Division after suffering five losses in nine outings.

Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby has racked up 11 points across the past 10 games, propelling the Penguins up the standings in the process. For that reason, I’m confident that Crosby will enhance his points tally at FLA Live Arena.

NHL Odds

Alex Ovechkin – Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-170)

Capitals vs. Sharks Predictions

Not team in the NHL has picked up fewer wins than the San Jose Sharks this season. Having won just 18 of their 62 games in 2022-23 – and two of their previous 10 – the Sharks find themselves rock bottom of the Pacific Division.

With that in mind, the Washington Capitals shouldn’t look set to inflict another defeat on San Jose when the teams meet at the SAP Center on Saturday. Since Washington’s Alex Ovechkin occupies eighth place on the SOG leaderboard, he shouldn’t struggle to record over 3.5 shots on goal.

Alex DeBrincat – Over 0.5 Points (-190)

Blue Jackets vs. Senators Predictions

Having registered five points across his previous four appearances, Alex DeBrincat will be confident of extending his scoring streak this weekend. Boasting a four-game winning run, DeBrincat’s Ottawa Senators host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.

The Blue Jackets are rooted to the foot of the Metropolitan Division, while the Senators are fifth in the Atlantic Division following a run of seven victories in 10 outings. Accordingly, I’m backing DeBrincat to notch over 0.5 points against lowly Columbus.

NHL Picks

Mitchell Marner – Over 0.5 Assists (-180)

Maple Leafs vs. Canucks Predictions

Only three players have chalked up more assists than Mitchel Marner this season. The Toronto Maple Leafs winger has amassed 55 assists across 62 appearances, meaning he averages 0.89 assists per game in 2022-23.

After recording five assists in a single game against the Buffalo Sabres last month, Marner added three to his tally against the Seattle Kraken before punishing the Edmonton Oilers earlier this week. That’s why I’m backing him to register another assist against the Vancouver Canucks.

Adrian Kempe – Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-175)

Blues vs. Kings Predictions

Having won seven of their last 10 games, the Los Angeles Kings find themselves second in the Pacific Division. On Saturday, the Kings host the St. Louis Blues, who occupy sixth place in the Central Division following a run of four wins in 10.

Adrian Kempe racked up seven shots on goal when the Kings defeated the Montreal Canadiens last time out, taking his average across the past 10 games to 3.8 SOG. With that in mind, I expect him to achieve over 2.5 shots on goal against the Blues.
