Speaking of scores, that’s one thing that surprised Tennessee fans as their Vols rolled over Missouri 62- 24 on the road. Tennessee scored 28 points in the first quarter with 3 from the Tigers. The good news for Missouri fans is that once QB Connor Bazelak got on a roll he was able to roll up 322 passing yards.

Arkansas vs. Ole Miss Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 12:00 p.m. on ESPN

Odds: Arkansas +6 (115) vs Ole Miss -6 (105)

Arkansas lost last week to Georgia while Ole Miss was taken down by Alabama. Both of these teams have a chip on their shoulder after their losses and falling in the rankings. Arkansas went scoreless against the Dawgs and their tough defense while Ole Miss managed to put up three touchdowns against the Tide. That simple fact puts Ole Miss as the favorite heading into the game on Saturday. The key for Arkansas will be to try and get out against Mississippi quickly. That could be a problem as the Razorbacks have only scored an average of 28.6 points per game while Ole Miss has a scoring average of 44.8.

Best Bet: Ole Miss -6 (105)

Georgia vs. Auburn Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 3:30 p.m. on CBS

Odds: Georgia -14.5 (115) vs Auburn +14.5 (105)

Georgia is the favorite heading into this weekend’s game at Auburn. Last week against posted 37 points against Arkansas while holding them scoreless. The Georgia defense is one of the toughest in the country and their offense has fallen in line. That will be a plus against Auburn as last week they showed what could be their big weakness – a possible lack of a game plan. After the half against LSU, the Auburn coaching staff seemed to switch from an offensive playbook to backyard football. It looked as if the new game plan was to let Bo Nix run around like a madman and hopefully make plays. That worked against LSU but may not against Georgia.

Best Bet: Georgia -14.5 (115)

Alabama vs. Texas A&M Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m. on CBS

Odds: Alabama -17.5 (110) vs Texas A&M +17.5 (110)

This is the late game on the East Coast for CBS as Alabama travels to Texas A&M. The Crimson Tide is still ranked No. 1 in the nation while the Aggies took a dramatic fall out of the top 25 from the No. 15 spot after their loss to unranked Mississippi State last week. Texas A&M can score some points against Alabama but their defense probably won’t stand up against the Tide’s offense.

Best Bet: Alabama -17.5 (110)

Vanderbilt vs. Florida Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 12:00 p.m. on SEC Network

Odds: Vanderbilt +38 (105) vs Florida -38 (115)

Vanderbilt has had two last-moment wins against two teams this season but that probably won’t happen against the Florida Gators this weekend. Florida is coming off a stinging loss to Kentucky last week in Lexington. The Gators want to prove that last week’s loss was a fluke and their offense is much better than what the Vandy defense can handle.

Best Bet: Vanderbilt +38 (105)

South Carolina vs. Tennessee Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 12:00 p.m. on ESPN2

Odds: South Carolina +10.5 (110) vs Tennessee -10.5 (110)

Both of these teams are unranked and won’t be a factor in challenging for an SEC title. But this may be one of the exciting SEC games to watch this weekend. Tennessee is on a mission to wipe away years of losing to conference foes while surviving against lesser teams. The motto of “changing the culture” is what is being sold in Knoxville. South Carolina is fighting a similar battle and needs a win.

Best Bet: South Carolina +10.5 (110)

North Texas vs. Missouri Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 4:00 p.m. on SEC Network

Odds: North Texas +19 (105) vs Missouri -19 (115)

Missouri was stunned against Tennessee last week at home and needs a big win against North Texas to help straighten things out. Look for Missouri to try and be as aggressive as possible on defense this weekend.

Best Bet: Missouri -19 (115)

LSU vs. Kentucky Week 6 Preview

When: Saturday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network

Odds: LSU +3 (105) vs Kentucky -3 (115)

LSU could be walking into a grindstone this weekend at Kentucky. The Wildcats have done nothing but improve throughout the season and come into the game 5-0. They are tougher on defense than at the beginning of the year and they have embraced the idea of being a team with a pounding run game. LSU will have to shore things up on defense if they want a win. This game should be a nail-bitter worth watching.

Best Bet: Kentucky -3 (115)
