Slow and steady, our top handicappers held strong with a consistent win rate last week, matching the previous week’s performance.
In a slow week for betting, a few handicappers managed to make good profit. Keep reading to find out how they did it, and see our picks for upcoming NHL games.
D’Amico Plays it Safe and Makes 100% Win Rate
A lot of our top handicappers don’t bet volume, instead focusing on perfecting their betting strategies to maximize win rate. Dionne D’Amico is one of the latter, placing conservative wagers that are well-researched.
I’m particularly impressed with her spread on the Capitals. She scraped by with half a point leeway to win $140.
Since the start of the season this year, D’Amico’s only placed a few wagers each week. Her total season record is 11-5 with a total profit of $550. If she can win one more wager this week, she’ll match her longest win-streak of 5 wagers, which she first hit at the beginning of the season.
Top NHL Handicappers Last Week
Last week was a slower week for NHL betting at ScoresandStats.com. Our top five cappers went 37-21 overall, with a combined win rate of 63.7%. For the first time in the last few weeks, the win rate has remained relatively constant, down only a few ticks from 64% in the previous week.
In total, the top five NHL bettors earned a collective $1,477.
Knup Sports Hits Brutal 5-Loss Streak
We’ve talked about Knup Sports on here before, but last time they were one of the best handicappers of the week. While they still made top 5 last week, they also hit a nasty 5-loss streak on the 15th.
They placed 5 totals wagers across multiple games (two unders, three overs) and lost all of them.
In the past seven days, Knup Sports actually lost money on totals wagers, going 14-14 for a -$155 profit. The only thing that kept them above water was the $400 they made on moneylines last week.
What We’re Watching This Week
Tonight, the Panthers take on the Minnesota Wild, and a few of our handicappers put money on the Wild moneyline at +118. Both teams are closely matched in season performance, so it will probably be a close game, but the Panthers are the favored team.
Friday we see the Sabres play the Maple Leafs, and that will almost certainly be a win for the Leafs. Unfortunately, the Sabres are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, and it’s unlikely they turn around their performance this season.
On Sunday, the Kraken play the Avalanche, which will be an interesting game. Both teams are in the lower dregs of the Western Conference, but they are both determined teams.
