“We had a little bit of an energy issue, obviously,” said head coach Nick Nurse. “They were moving a heck of a lot faster than we were. Just a step from behind the start, at both ends, and just dug ourselves in a huge hole.”
This defeat followed a tough 113-107 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, in which Philadelphia was outscored 33-18 in the fourth quarter. The team had previously shown promise, winning 10 of 13 games, including a 118-114 victory over the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day.

Brooklyn will play its first home game since re-acquiring D’Angelo Russell in a trade that sent Dorian Finney-Smith to the Los Angeles Lakers. Russell contributed 11 points and 12 assists in Thursday’s win after starting in Milwaukee.
