The eighth week of the NFL season has arrived. That means it’s time to place some bets. The best way to handicap football is by utilizing teasers. Here are my best teasers for the eighth week of the NFL season.
NFL 6-Point Teaser Picks for Week 8
Best Bet: Panthers +3 to +9
The Panthers and Falcons will compete in the battle of the bad this weekend. Carolina has dropped four straight games without Christian McCaffrey. Sam Darnold started the season strong, but he has fallen apart.
Even though Atlanta is playing better football at the moment, Carolina still has statistical advantages. This gives me more confidence to add the tease to their side of the points. Carolina should be within a touchdown this weekend, and they may even prevail.
Best Bet: Titans +2.5 to +8.5
I was shocked to see the Titans as underdogs in this game. It would be wise to hammer the team at +2.5, so it’s a no-brainer with the tease. Tennessee will win if they control the run game with Derrick Henry.
Henry has been dominant all year, with ten touchdowns this season. The Colts have found ways to make mistakes at the end of games, causing them to lose.
Best Bet: Bengals -10.5 to -4.5
If there is one tease that’s a lock, it’s the Bengals over the Jets. The Bengals are coming off a statement win against Baltimore. Meanwhile, the Jets were defeated by the Patriots, and they lost Zach Wilson to injury.
The Bengals are a much better football team, and they will dominate this game. New York has only covered once this season. They may not cover for a second time for the remainder of the year as the team is in shambles.
NFL 10-Point Teaser Picks for Week 8
Best Bet: Patriots +4 to +14
The Patriots have proven they deserve respect in 2021. Mac Jones looks like a top-tier quarterback, and the offense is clicking. Defensively, the Patriots will have some injuries to overcome in the secondary. However, they should still play Los Angeles very tight on Sunday.
The Chargers are coming off a bye after getting blown out by the Ravens. I expect them to play well, but they are not two touchdowns better than New England.
The Patriots have played well against tough opponents like Dallas and Tampa Bay. The same thing will occur on Sunday.
Best Bet: Saints +4.5 to +14.5
The Saints are not a great team, but they can compete on defense. Jameis Winston will make mistakes, but the defense should keep them competitive on Sunday. The Buccaneers have not been terrific against the spread even though they are 6-1.
I think Tampa Bay will have a hard time covering +14.5 with the tease making this a strong pick.
Best Bet: Chiefs -9.5 to +1.5
The Chiefs are struggling, and they continue to let down bettors. Although, New York is a horrendous football team. If Kansas City cannot beat the Giants, there is a major issue.
The +1.5 spread gives them a one-point buffer. They should win with ease at home. If Kansas City loses to New York, their season is virtually finished.
