Things pick back up for SEC football fans this weekend after last week’s limited schedule of games. Saturday will have a slate of seven games with one big one that features two ranked teams. That would be Auburn on the road at College Station to take on Texas A&M. Auburn comes in at No. 12 in the land while the Aggies have moved to the No. 15 spot.
Both teams had dropped out of the top-25 following losses earlier this season but they’ve both gone on a roll. Auburn downed Ole Miss last week and Texas A&M righted their ship after knocking off Alabama a few weeks ago. While there are plenty of games to watch, some teams may already be looking towards next season or just hoping to become Bowl eligible. That’s not the case with this week’s signature game where Auburn and Texas A&M face off.
Biggest SEC Games to Bet on for CFB Week 10
When: Saturday, November 6 at 3:30 p.m. on CBS
Odds: Auburn +4.5 (110) vs Texas A&M -4.5 (110)
Is this the game where the gloves come off? To use a boxing analogy. These are two teams on a roll. Texas A&M brought their season back by beating Alabama several weeks ago and since then they’ve won twice giving them a 6-2 season overall and a No. 13 national ranking. Auburn has a similar story, after some early losses they’ve gotten better and are also at 6-2 on the year and the No. 12 spot. Also, both teams are in the SEC West so this is a conference game that carries some weight. Auburn seems to have improved their offense as Bo Nix settles in. He scrambles less and is looking more and more like a pocket passer – that can move if needed. Both Texas A&M and Auburn will lean on their defenses.
Best Bet: Auburn +4.5 (110)
2021 SEC Football Week 10 Predictions
When: Saturday, November 6 at 12:00 p.m. on ESPN
Odds: Missouri +38 (110) vs Georgia -38 (110)
Georgia is still the No.1 team in the country after downing Florida in Jacksonville. The Bulldogs defense didn’t allow the Gators the opportunity to get into any type of rhythm going during the game. Florida was limited to one touchdown which came in the 4th quarter. Georgia put up 24 points the 2nd before the game ended with a final score of 34-7. That scenario will probably play out once again as Georgia hosts Missouri. The Tigers have shown sparks of having a good offense at times, same on defense, but they are wildly inconsistent and Georgia’s defense should shut Missouri down.
Best Bet: Georgia -38 (110)
When: Saturday, November 6 at 12:00 p.m. on SEC Network
Odds: Liberty +9.5 (110) vs Ole Miss -9.5 (110)
Ole Miss dropped a big game against Auburn last week. The Tigers kept the Ole Miss offense off balance just enough to disrupt drives. Liberty may give Lane Kiffin’s crew some trouble, but their defense probably won’t be able to put the same amount of pressure on Matt Corral that Auburn did. The Ole Miss QB went 21-37 for 289 yards while fighting a tweaked ankle. A healthy Corral is a dangerous thing for Liberty to take on. If he’s still having ankle issues, look for a fireworks show of dump passes for chunks of yardage.
Best Bet: Ole Miss -9.5 (110)
Mississippi State vs Arkansas Picks
When: Saturday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m. on SEC Network
Odds: Mississippi State +5.5 (115) vs Arkansas -5.5 (105)
Arkansas is not having the season they were hoping for. The Razorbacks started with wins against Rice, Texas, Georgia State, and Texas A&M before getting thumped by Georgia and then losing to Ole Miss in a shootout followed by another loss to Auburn. They are coming off a win against Arkansas Pine Bluff and a week off. Mississippi State has quietly put together a 5-3 overall record while going 3-2 in the SEC. That includes wins over Texas A&M and Kentucky. This will be a tight game as both teams are looking to slug out another SEC win. A late field goal, or two, may carry the day.
Best Bet: Mississippi State +5.5 (110)
When: Saturday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN
Odds: LSU +28.5 (105) vs Alabama -28.5 (115)
Not much has to be said about Alabama. They would love to move up another spot in the national rankings as they are coming into the weekend ranked 3 rd in the nation. As for LSU, they are batting 500 for the season going 4-4 overall but they are 2-3 in the SEC. They looked on fire against Florida winning 49-42 and then lost to Ole Miss 31-17. The LSU defense is unpredictable at this point and with Ed Orgeron already being fired and just finishing out the season you have to wonder if this team is just ready for this season to be over. This weekend will show how much heart they have to finish out the year. Maybe they can catch the Alabama defense asleep a few times as Tennessee did.
Best Bet: LSU +28.5 (110)
Tennessee vs. Kentucky Picks
When: Saturday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN 2
Odds: Tennessee +1.5 (110) vs Kentucky -1.5 (110)
This is a rivalry game between Tennessee and Kentucky. The two teams have a rich history dating back to 1893. The Vols lead the series 81-26-9. But, last season, Kentucky dominated Tennessee 34-7. It was only the 3 rd Kentucky win against the Vols dating back to 1984. Now, Kentucky is as strong as it has ever been. And, the Vols seem to be settling in under the new system implemented by Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel. Kentucky enters as the No. 8 team in the country while unranked Tennessee just wants to look improved from game to game. This may be one of the more exciting games to watch this Saturday.
Best Bet: Kentucky -1.5 (110)
Florida vs. South Carolina Picks
When: Saturday, November 6 at 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network
Odds: Florida -18.5 (110) vs South Carolina +18.5 (110)
Both Florida and South Carolina may be looking towards next season while hoping to win enough games to make sure they are bowl eligible. Both teams come into the game 4-4 overall. South Carolina is 1-4 in the SEC while Florida is 2-3 in conference play. This game could even them out. Florida still has teams such as Missouri and Florida State in front of them while South Carolina still has to face Missouri, Auburn, and Clemson. This game will boil down to a “who wants it more” battle.
Best Bet: South Carolina +18.5 (110)
