If you’re looking for the best NBA player props picks for Sunday, January 8th, you have come to the right place. Lucky for you, I have scoured the NBA odds to find the top player props for Sunday’s action.
The weekend may almost be over, but we still have nine NBA games to enjoy. With a host of eye- catching match-ups on the schedule, there is no shortage of exciting NBA props to take advantage of.
James Harden – Over 24.5 Points (-110)
James Harden has registered 26+ points in four of his previous six appearances. The Philadelphia 76ers have won 11 of their last 14 games, and Harden has been at the heart of everything good about his team’s outstanding run.
On Sunday, the 76ers face the Detroit Pistons, who find themselves rock bottom of the Eastern Conference. The Pistons have lost nine of their past 12 games, so I’m backing Harden to rack up over 24.5 points at Little Caesars Arena.
Jusuf Nurkic – Over 10.5 Rebounds (-105)

Only 11 players in the NBA have a better rebounds-per-game average than Jusuf Nurkic this season. The Portland Trailblazers center has achieved 325 rebounds in 33 outings, meaning he averages 9.8 per game in 2022-23.
After recording 15 against the Charlotte Hornets last month, the “Bosnian Beast” chalked up a whopping 19 rebounds against the Indiana Pacers on Friday. With the struggling Toronto Raptors up next for Portland, I expect Nurkic to notch over 10.5 rebounds on Sunday.
Myles Turner – Over 2.5 Blocks (+115)
Only two players – Nic Claxton and Brook Lopez – have a better blocks-per-game average than Myles Turner in 2022-23. The Indiana Pacers star averages 2.2 blocks per game this season, having accumulated 75 blocks across 34 appearances.
Not only have the Pacers won five of their last six games, but they have also won seven of their previous nine. With the Hornets sitting second from bottom in the Eastern Conference, I’m confident that Turner will produce another dominant display this weekend.
Kyrie Irving – Over 25.5 Points (-115)
The Brooklyn Nets sit second in the East following a run of 13 wins in 14 games. Although their 12-game unbeaten streak was ended by the Chicago Bulls earlier this week, they bounced straight back with a victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.
Across his previous 12 outings, Kyrie Irving has racked up 24+ points on no fewer than ten occasions. The Nets face a tricky test against the Miami Heat on Sunday, but in-form Irving shouldn’t struggle to register over 25.5 points at FTX Arena.
Kevin Porter Jr – Under 6.5 Assists (-120)
Timberwolves vs. Rockets Picks
Having suffered six successive defeats, the Houston Rockets hold the longest losing streak in the NBA right now. When you look at the bigger picture, the Rockets have lost 11 of their previous 12 games – meaning they find themselves rock bottom of the Western Conference.
On Sunday, the Rockets host the Minnesota Timberwolves, who head to Toyota Center on a three-game winning streak. Kevin Porter Jr has more assists than any other Houston player this season, but I can’t see him getting over 6.5 assists this weekend.
