Can the Kings Keep Rolling?
Sacramento (31-25) has thrived under interim coach Doug Christie, going 14-8 since he took over in late December. The Kings pulled off a dramatic 129-128 overtime win against Dallas on Monday, with new additions Zach LaVine and Jonas Valanciunas playing key roles.
Christie experimented with playing Valanciunas alongside Domantas Sabonis for the first time in the fourth quarter against the Mavericks, and the duo helped lead the comeback.
“I thought those guys were great,” Christie said. “They’re really going to battle on the backboard, and that’s what we needed—to limit possessions to one attempt per possession.”
