The 2020-21 college basketball season gets underway later this month.
Online sportsbooks have already been taking a lot of wagers on 2021 March Madness futures. Now is the time to bet on longshots to win the 2021 NCAA Basketball Championship.
If any longshots come out of the gate winning, their futures odds will drop significantly.

Depending upon which online bookie you’re looking at, there are ten teams paying under 20/1 odds to win the 2021 March Madness tournament. We’re not going to be betting on any of those teams.
My first longshot bet has already seen the odds drop a lot since the market first opened.
Bet on the Michigan Wolverines to Win March Madness 2021
Odds to Win: Michigan +2800 (28/1)
Last season, the Wolverines went 19-12, but only 10-10 in Big Ten conference play.
One of the big reasons Michigan struggled as the season progressed was because of injuries to key players like Isaiah Livers. Livers is back in Ann Arbor, which is a big boost for Michigan.
They did lose Zavier Simpson, but Eli Brooks will start at point guard now and he’ll be fine. Brooks was 5th on the team in scoring last season (10.6 PPG) and should take another step forward.
Franz Wagner (11.6 PPG and 5.6 RPG) is another player I expect to improve this season if he can stay healthy. Hunter Dickenson is the freshman to watch, as he could start from Day 1.
Juwan Howard will be able to utilize a 10-12-man rotation this season to keep everyone fresh. There is a lot of depth on this team, but whether that translates into wins is another story.
One thing’s for sure, this is likely going to be the wildest college basketball season we’ve seen and this could be the year a big underdog takes down the 2021 March Madness tournament.
Bet on the Texas Longhorns to Win March Madness 2021
Odds to Win: +7000 (70/1)
At 70/1 odds, I’m going to take a shot on the Longhorns out of the Big 12. They went 19-12 last season (9-9 in Big 12 conference games). Shaka Smart is going to be on the hot seat this season.
Smart has struggled as the head coach at Texas, but this could be the season the Longhorns have success on the national stage. Texas have the most experienced team in the Big 12.
They also bring in one of the top 10 freshmen this season in Greg Brown. He’s going to be a huge difference maker. Matt Coleman is also back at point guard after leading Texas last season.
If Texas can build chemistry and get into the March Madness field, there’s enough talent as well as experience on this team to make some noise once the tournament starts in 2021.
