On Saturday, February 22, Daniel Dubois puts his IBF heavyweight title on the line against Joseph Parker in the semi-main event of an action-packed card from Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This PPV boxing extravaganza is headlined by the rematch between Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol.
Dubois (22-2-0, 21 KOs) enters this showdown coming off the biggest win of his career as he blasted Anthony Joshua for a KO victory. The British heavyweight is quickly rising up the ranks to become one of the top stars in the division.
Parker (35-3-0, 23 KOs) is on a winning streak of his own, which includes victories over Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder in his last two fights. The New Zealander has rebounded from tough losses to put himself back into title contention. Parker also aims to become a two-time division champion.
In addition to the light heavyweight main event, and the heavyweight semi-main event, there are five more world title fights on the undercard of The Last Crescendo PPV on DAZN.

Daniel Dubois Recent Fights
The British heavyweight star has gone 7-2 in his last nine pro fights. His first pro loss came in November 2020, when he suffered a 10th round KO to Joe Joyce. Dubois took a knee to stop the fight after suffering a fractured left eye socket.
He returned to the ring in June 2021, and put together a four-fight winning streak all by KO. None of those fights went beyond the 4th round.
This winning streak put Dubois on Oleksandr Usyk’s radar and the two fought in August 2023. Usyk would successfully defend his world titles and pick up a 9th round KO win over Dubois. That marked the second loss of the Brit’s pro career.
Now, many fighters would’ve regressed after two losses in less than three years, especially against the world champ. However, Dubois did something different. And, it really surprised many of his critics. In fact, I was very surprised at his turnaround.
Dubois has had lackluster efforts at times over his career. But the last three bouts have seen the IBF champ show a determination and poise unlike any other time as a pro.
Following the Usyk loss, Dubois put together a strong performance against the unbeaten Jarrell Miller in December 2023, as he won via 10th round TKO just before the time expired.
He followed that up with another impressive victory in June 2024, against the unbeaten Fili Hrgovic. Dubois would go on to win via 8th round TKO after the ref stopped the fight due to cuts over both of Hrgovic’s eyes.
But the biggest victory of Dubois’ career came in September 2024, when he faced fellow Brit Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium. Dubois would knock down Joshua four times in the fight before picking up a 5th round KO victory.
That win cemented Dubois as a legitimate world champion who hopes one day to get a rematch with Usyk. And after that division’s top fighter has dispatched of Tyson Fury twice, there really isn’t many legitimate contenders outside of Dubois.
As for this weekend’s clash in Saudi Arabia, Dubois is raring to go:
“At the moment, I’m just calm before the storm and raring to go right now, I love it. I love the game, it’s good. They haven’t seen the best (of me) yet. Just wait and see! He’s going to have a plan. So, everyone’s just breaking his plan up and just beat the ambition out of him. That’s my objective and I’m just raring to go… almost there!”
Daniel Dubois Odds
Strolling back to Dubois’ odds against Usyk, he closed as a +550 to +750 underdog, which actually came down from his +1000 opening line.
Of course, he opened as a big favorite over Jarrell Miller with -1100 odds. By time the fight came, Dubois’ odds shrunk to -210 to -275.
Against Hrgovic, Dubois was a sizable underdog. He opened at +310 but saw his line drop to a range of +175 to +240 odds. Then, for the third time in four fights, Dubois was an underdog against Joshua with odds closing at +280 to +380. His line didn’t move much from the opening of +370 odds.
For the Parker fight, Dubois opened at -245 and has seen his odds settle in a range of -225 to -300 odds. This is just the second time that he has been a favorite since 2022.
Joseph Parker Recent Fights
Joseph Parker enters this weekend’s clash on a five-fight winning streak. Since his disappointing 11th round KO loss to Joe Joyce, Parker has been on a roll and has picked up some impressive wins along the way.
Four months after his loss to Joyce, Parker stepped back into the ring and picked up a unanimous decision win over Jack Massey with the scores of 96-93, 97-92, and 97-93.
In May 2023, Parker scored a 1st round TKO win over an inferior opponent in Faiga Opelu. He then took on Simon Kean and beat him via 3rd round KO in October 2023.
In his 4th fight of the year, Parker stepped up his level of competition to face Deontay Wilder in December. He pulled off the upset by picking up the unanimous decision victory with the scores of 118-110, 118-111, 120-108.
Parker’s last bout came in March 2024, where he pulled off a second consecutive upset win by defeating Zhilei Zhang via majority decision (113-113, 114-112, 115-111). Making this win even more impressive was the fact that Parker was knocked down in rounds three and eight, but fought his way back to pick up the victory.
As for this weekend’s bout, Parker recognizes that Dubois will be tougher than his last two opponents:
“I have to up my game even further against Daniel. His punch out-put is much higher than Wilder’s or Zhang’s so he applies more pressure behind his power. So I have to be even better than I was against those two.”
Joseph Parker Odds
Parker opened as the underdog in this weekend’s clash with a line of +194. He currently sits at a range o +188 to +235 odds. This is actually the third straight fight that Parker has been the underdog according to the sportsbooks.
In his last fight, Parker opened at +185 against Zhang. He closed at a range of +150 to +195 odds. Of course, the Kiwi won that bout. He also won as the underdog against Deontay Wilder. Parker opened at +430 and closed at a range of +380 to +450 odds. That was the biggest underdog line of his career.
Parker hasn’t been a betting favorite since October 2023, when he fought Simon Kean. He opened at -550 odds and closed at -900 to -1200.
Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker Predictions
I’ve seen a growing number of pundits and outlets picking Parker to win this fight due to his toughness, skills and agility. These people are thinking that the Kiwi can get out of trouble, avoid any worrisome exchanges and avoid the knockout punches. I disagree.
Parker mentioned how Dubois throws more punches than his last two opponents. That will be a big difference in this weekend’s bout.
I see Dubois going in there and pressuring Parker. He will use his jab to try and set up power punches. I see the Brit cleaning up some of his defensive lapses to put together a well-polished out.
I see the Brit executing a solid game plan that includes cutting off the ring and eliminating Parker’s angles or escape routes. I like Dubois power and tenacity to overwhelm Parker and pick up the victory.
Bet: Daniel Dubois (-260)
The Best Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker Prop Bets
The following Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker prop bets are courtesy of BetUS:
Over/Under 10.5 rounds
- Over 10.5 (-110)
- Under 10.5 (-120)
For Dubois, he’s never gone Over 10.5 rounds in his pro boxing career. Either the fight was stopped inside 10 rounds or the bout was only scheduled for that distance. Parker has a number of contests where he’s gone Over this mark along with going to the scorecards.
For Dubois to win this bout, he’s going to need to get on top of Parker as soon as the fight starts. He can’t waste any time with a feeling out process. I expect Dubois to be aggressive from the opening round and wear down the Kiwi.
Eventually, I see this bout ending in Under 10.5 rounds due to one of these fighters picking up the knockout victory. I’m taking Dubois to accomplish that feat.
Bet: Under 10.5 rounds (-120)
Will Fight go the distance?
- Yes (+125)
- No (-175)
As you can see from the boxing prop bet above, I don’t believe we’re going the full 12 rounds. I see this contest ending inside the distance via stoppage. The style of this fight is a recipe for a knockout. I like Dubois to get that KO win as I think he can wear down Parker before finishing him off.
I would rather take this prop bet than the Over/Under prop above. This one gives us more fight time to work with and is only -175 compared to -110 odds.
Bet: No (-175)
Method of Victory
- Dubois via TKO/KO/DQ (-110)
- Dubois via decision (+350)
- Parker via TKO/KO/DQ (+650)
- Parker via decision (+400)
- Draw (+1600)
Following the line of thinking here, I have picked Dubois to win this fight inside the distance and Under 10.5 rounds. So, that means only one thing – a knockout victory.
Dubois has 21 KOs in 22 pro victories. Parker already has one KO loss in his lengthy professional career. I see Dubois hammering Parker until he either goes face first on the mat or the ref steps in to stop the fight.
For the risktakers out there, Parker winning via TKO/KO at +650 odds is also worthy of a small flier. I don’t see this bout going to the judges. Both of Dubois’ losses have come via KO.
Bet: Dubois via TKO/KO/DQ (-110)
Betting on Rounds
- Either Winner in rounds 1-4 (+800)
- Either Winner in rounds 5-8 (+260)
- Either Winner in rounds 9-12 (+260)
- Fight To Go The Distance (+125)
Dubois finished off Joshua in the 5th round the last time we saw the Brit step into the boxing ring. When looking over his 24 professional fights, Dubois has only gone to the 10th round on three occasions.
With that said, I think Parker’s agility and skills will keep him in the fight for the first half, but then I see Dubois executing his plan and smothering the Kiwi. I like for this bout to end in Rounds 9-12 via knockout. I think Dubois gets that KO, but Parker scoring it in those rounds means we also win this prop bet.
Bet: Either Winner in rounds 9-12 (+260)
What’s Next For The Dubois vs. Parker Winner?
The king of the heavyweight division is Oleksandr Usyk. The winner of this fight is hoping to be next in line to take on the king for all of the gold. It will be the biggest fight of the winner’s career and one that Usyk is open to.
In fact, Usyk said he only has two more pro fights in his career and the next one will be the Parker vs. Dubois winner:
“I will fight who will win, Joseph Parker, Daniel Dubois, no problem. I think two years, one and a half [left in boxing]. I feel great myself. I feel I have two fights to prepare [for], not more. Just two.”
Dubois is chomping at the bit to get a rematch with Usyk. He realizes that this championship showdown is on the table for the winner. In fact, Parker has acknowledged this as well. It would be interesting to see how Dubois performs against Usyk after he’s matured and evolved since their first encounter.
