The 2021-22 NHL season grinds on and heads into its final two weeks. A number of teams have clinched playoff spots and others have been eliminated from postseason play.
The Florida Panthers are 9-1 in their last ten games and are challenging Colorado for the President’s Cup. Both teams have 110 points. Florida has nine games left and the Avalanche have ten.
It’s a light schedule tonight in the NHL with just three games. Seattle-Winnipeg was postponed due to a huge winter storm in southern Manitoba.

The Kings beat Chicago 5-2 last night and now have to play again on no rest against the best team in the Western Conference. Colorado may be the best team in the NHL and has been the Stanley Cup favorite most of the season.
Plus, the Avs have had four days off. Rest is a huge factor in the NHL; so is momentum. Colorado has won six straight.
The Avalanche score the third-most goals per game in the NHL. They also allow the seventh-fewest. They are the most complete team in hockey and they will take care of business tonight.
