With less than a month left of the 2022 NHL regular season, things are really starting to heat up on the ice. Not only will the action on the ice be more exciting over the next few weeks, but it will also create some better betting opportunities.
There is another full slate of NHL games on tap for Saturday, and that creates some terrific betting options. Here are the NHL best bets to make for Saturday, April 9th 2022.
Moneyline: Philadelphia Flyers -110
You will find some big moneyline favorites when looking at the NHL slate, but that isn’t the case when the Philadelphia Flyers host the Anaheim Ducks. Both of these teams are going to miss out on the playoffs, but this should be a good matchup on Saturday night.
Anaheim has been the better overall team in this matchup, but they have also really been struggling of late. Philadelphia is a team with a ton of pride, and they are looking to finish off the season in style.
This will be a tight game throughout, but it will be the Flyers that win this one at home.
Puck Line: Colorado Avalanche -1.5
The Colorado Avalanche are on the road to take on the Edmonton Oilers in what looks like an interesting matchup on paper. Both of these teams love to score goals, but that’s the biggest reason that this game could turn into a rout.
Edmonton has not been a good defensive team, and the fast-paced style of play just isn’t going to work against Colorado. The Oilers love to score on the power play, but they are going to give up too many chances in even-strength hockey.
Colorado is the best team in the NHL, and they beat Edmonton by at least two goals on Saturday night.
Over/Under: Flames/Kraken Over 6 Goals
It’s been a rough season for the Seattle Kraken, especially on the defensive end of the ice. The Kraken welcome the Calgary Flames to town on Saturday, and that defense is going to be tested heavily in this matchup.
The Flames are a team that can go on a deep run in the postseason, and that offense has been terrific all season long. Seattle does have the ability to score as well, and this game will turn into a high-scoring affair.
Look for at least seven goals to be scored in this one as the over 6.0 goals hits.
Parlay: Golden Knights -360 / Blues -160
Coyotes vs. Golden Knights Picks / Islanders vs. Blues Picks
After looking at all of the single-game betting options you can make, putting together a two-team parlay is another solid option. There are two teams that appear to be pretty big betting favorites that would be perfect to include in a two-team parlay.
The Vegas Golden Knights host the Arizona Coyotes in a must-win game, and they won’t mess around. Vegas hasn’t always been consistent this year, but this is a game that they will win.
St. Louis is at home against the New York Islanders, and this will be a tough test for the Blues. The Blues will eventually have enough offense, and they should be included in a two-team parlay.
