Just like that, here we are at rival week. This college football season has been an extraordinary one, to say the least. We have seen highs, and we have seen lows. We have seen top programs that used to be relevant, become completely obscure, and we have seen completely obscure programs make the top 25 and stick around (UTSA).

In this game, forget about the rivalry. Georgia is indeed 35-points better than Georgia Tech. Georgia allows 7.5 points per game. Let’s say this again. The defensive unit for the Georgia Bulldogs allows their opponent an average of 7.5 points per game. Who does that, has anyone ever done this is the better question? What the Bulldogs are doing this season is historic and they are most definitely our choice for national championship winners. Georgia Tech was beaten last week by Notre Dame, 55-0, Boston College put 41 on them… the only close game over the last five consecutive losses was against Miami, a 30-33 loss.

#2 Ohio State 10-1, 6-4-1 ATS @ #5 Michigan 10-1, 9-2-0 ATS

Ok, go with us for a moment, let’s try to find a Harbaugh win. Michigan scores 36.9 points per game and they allow 16.3 per game, that’s 3-points better than Ohio State’s 19 points per game. Ohio State scores 47.2 points per game, and Michigan scores 36.9 points per game, for a difference of 10.3 points in favor of the Buckeyes. The Wolverines are 2.7 points better on defense, take that from the 10.3 differential, then take the obligatory 3- points for the home-field advantage, which leaves you with 4.6. Let’s round that number to 5. Based on those numbers, we see Michigan being a +5-point underdog at home.

What about heart, what about winning one for the Gipper, what about saving Harbaugh’s job? Does any of that matter? We think so, The Michigan State loss was crushing but more of a wake-up call for Michigan. The Players will be geeked to take down the Buckeyes. Look, we can run numbers until the cows come home and most all of them give a slight advantage to Ohio State. The quarterback comparison is simply invalid. Stroud is playing out of his mind-great football with 3, 468 yards, 36 TDs, and just 5 INTs. The man is sick with talent. Henderson is doing the same thing on the ground; this team is an offensive juggernaut. Michigan’s biggest weapon is certainly Haskins and he is outdueled (1098 rushing yards to 1063, 14 TDs to 13 TDs). This Ohio State team is good at what they do and they will also be geeked up to beat Michigan in the Big House. As good as Ohio State is, we think Harbaugh digs deep and finds a way to win this game at home and finally do what he came to do; beat Ohio State.

This is a FANTASTIC rival game. Baylor is playing so well right now and they are in a groove. Their defense is nails, with 19 points per game allowed, and their offense is lighting it up with 34 points per game. Although we love this rivalry, we see this one being an easy cover. Vegas has this wrong. This should be -18 or -19. Baylor wins big with defense and Smith goes off, on the ground. It’s going to be a long day for Tech.

#18 Wake Forest 9-2, 5-6-0 ATS @ Boston College 6-5, 6-5-0 ATS

Wake Forest has lost two games this season, one against the Tar Heels, and last week against an underrated Clemson. Wake blows the doors off of bad teams, let’s say “inferior” teams. Boston College is inferior; however, Wake is inferior in the defense dept. Wake is allowing 3o.8 points per game while BC is allowing 20.5. Sooner or later, the defense will win, or at least keep it close.

Well, the unlucky draw! UConn is awful and Houston is a very good football team. These two are simply not in the same category, the same league, and we can’t and won’t look at UConn’s numbers and try to make a case. There is no case. We like Houston to cover based on UConn’s last three games, 17-49, 7-44, and 13-44, before those three losses, they picked up their one win on the season – Yale, yes, they beat Yale, 21-15.

Pick: Houston -32.5, Over 54.5

#22 UTSA 11-0, 8-3-0 ATS @ North Texas 5-6, 8-3-0 ATS

UTSA has come a long way in a very short time. This program is legit and they are 100% deserving of a spot on the top 25. Harris has put together a great season with 2629 yards, 23 TDs, and just 5 INTs. McCormick has put together an even better season on the ground with 1215 rushing yards and 12 TDs. North Texas has nowhere near enough offense to stay close in this one and their defense is allowing 27.9 points per game.

Pick: UTSA -10.5, Over 59.5

#3 Alabama 10-1, 6-5-0 ATS @ Auburn 6-5, 5-6-0 ATS

Auburn is going to lose this game, that, we do not question. Will they lose by 20-points? Will this game be a 40 something to mid-low 20 something kind of game in favor of Alabama? YES. Alabama is just better and we are going with better. Forget the rival, forget the fans, forget Saban being mad. This is not about Saban’s foot on the gas but if there ever was a game where that was the case, it would be this game. The Ole Miss and Arkansas Auburn, that was a great Auburn, however, the last three weeks of Auburn football has been miserable with a loss to South Carolina, Miss State, and Texas A&M. It would be fun to bet on Auburn but we would rather keep our money.

The beavers are not chopped liver. This program is much improved over the recent past and they do have a legitimate chance to win this football game. Oregon does this every year, they come out like a house a fire and they blow the doors off everybody. That’s fool’s gold. We gave them way too much credit last week in Utah and look how that turned out! We would love Oregon State to keep it close if this was not in Autzen. This could be a struggle, and it will be close but we must like Oregon to cover -7, and over.

What a fun game, and a classic matchup in the BIG 10. MSU started this season with high hopes and they have had a great season, they beat their biggest foe when they took down Michigan and Harbaugh. Although this team got smacked by Ohio State last week, we have to like the Spartans to rebound, find some pride, and win this football game. This game comes down to the ground and a prolific offense when all cylinders are clicking. We realize the Spartans defense has become suspect, and PSU’s defense is still very solid. We agree with Las Vegas, this one will be close, but in the BIG 10, anybody can beat anybody and the Spartans will defend their house.

#14 Wisconsin 8-3, 6-5-0 ATS @ Minnesota 7-4, 6-4-1 ATS

We are going to buck the trend and play this one more based on the published total. We love the defense of both teams and if this game were to stay under the 39, then we must take Wisconsin. What we must look at are the last five games. Wisconsin scored 35 against a good Nebraska team, 35 against a big rival game in Northwestern, 52 against Rutgers, 27 against Iowa, and 30 against Purdue. Minnesota has had a good year, not excellent, but good, and possibly, one could make an argument for them making the top 25. Our problem in this one; Illinois, that 6-14 stinker at home. Minnesota plays great defense and hangs around but at the end of the day, The Badgers cover -7, and the Total stays under and they still win. That’s our case, and we are sticking to it!

Pick: Wisconsin -7, Under 39

LSU has not had the kind of football season they are accustomed to having. If they don’t get this win today, they will end the season with a losing record. It’s a bit of a weird thing LSU’s last four games, they beat ULM last week, which they should have, the week before was a loss in OT to Arkansas, the week was a fantastic showing against Alabama, 14-20, but the week before was a thumping at the hands of Ole Miss, 17-31. We cannot overlook the Aggies defense, they are holding opponents to 14.9 points per game, and LSU is allowing 25.5 per game. The aggies are rushing for 194.7 yards per game, LSU is rushing for 109 yards per game. Aggies get the win.

Pick: Texas A&M -6.5, Under 46

#10 Oklahoma 10-1, 5-6-0 ATS @ #7 Oklahoma State 10-1, 9-2-0 ATS

The Sooners saddle up and ride north to play the Cowboys, in Stillwater. Welcome to “T Boone Pickens boys” “we think we’re better than you and we are about to show you why”! The big three in Stillwater, Sanders, Warren, and Martin, are the core of this offensive unit and they put up 31.4 points per game with 413.7 total yards of offense. Both the Sooners and the Cowboys come in with 10 wins on the season but this year is different for the Cowboys, they have a defense that shows up every single game. This Cowboys defense is allowing 14.9 points per game in a very difficult BIG 12 conference. We expect a great game, a close game, and one that could be back and forth, but we like the defense this year and we expect a much slower, methodical game than in the past.

#17 Pittsburgh 9-2, 8-3-0 ATS @ Syracuse 5-6, 8-3-0 ATS

The Pittsburgh Panthers have had a great year and they have a flying high offense that puts up 43.9 points per game. They have been stellar against the spread and come in having won four of the last five games. Syracuse has taken a step back in its efforts to rebuild. They have lost the last two games and have allowed 82-points in the two. Syracuse used to be a tough place to get a win but not in this one.

Clemson has not gone anywhere. When you have the best quarterback in college football and then he heads south to the NFL, that’s a loss for any program, and you just wait… Dabo will have this team back in the playoffs next season. South Carolina will give Clemson a run and although Death Valley is one of the most difficult places to pick up a win, we think the Gamecocks keep it close.

The Cardinal has the cast and crew to put up the offense, they have no defense, and what a killer, The last five games have been awful with exception of the Washington game. In the four of the five straight losses, they have allowed 41 to a not very good Cal, 35 to a decent Oregon State, 52 to Utah, 20 to a pretty bad Washington Huskies, and 34 to a not very good Washington State. Notre Dame is scoring 34.4 points per game and allowing just 18.6. This Notre Dame team is very good and they will go deep in the playoffs. They win big over Stanford; it will be ugly in every facet of the game. Bet the first half, second half, and every quarter.

Just like that, Utah has two tanked teams. BYU has played well all season but they have been overvalued. Vegas gives them too much credit and they don’t cover half their games. Although USC is having a down year, they have a quarterback that can throw and you can expect this one to be up-tempo, fast-paced, and fun. This game will fly over 64, BYU may score 64 themselves! Take the over, take USC to hang around, and have fun.

Pick: USC +7, Over 64

No matter how you slice it, this week is going to be epic and we hope that you win a pile of money. There is still a lot of action to come in NCAA Football. The Bowl season is next and we can guarantee excitement and some of the best matchups in years. This season’s championship run is going to be intense. Georgia will enter the playoffs undefeated; can they finally win it all/ What about Nick Saban and Alabama, would it be a surprise to see them run the playoff table and win yet another championship?
