The Detroit Lions have been an underdog every week of the 2021 NFL season. Last week, the Lions finally paid off with a 29-27 upset win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Seattle and Pittsburgh both pulled off upset wins as well. The Seahawks broke a three-game losing streak and the Steelers broke a three-game winless streak in the process.
Who will pull of the upset this week? Here are the top three NFL Week 14 moneyline underdog picks.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns Week 14
Yes, Baltimore did lose a close one to AFC North rival Pittsburgh last week. The Ravens couldn’t convert a two-point play and fell to the Steelers.
This week, it’s another division opponent – the Browns. Cleveland has the fourth-best rushing offense in the NFL. Baltimore is third. This should be tough, physical, smash-mouth type of game. Most Ravens road games are as the Under is 5-0 in the last five.
The Ravens beat Cleveland at home on Nov. 28, 16-10. It was Baltimore’s fourth straight win over the Browns. The Ravens are also 4-0 ATS in those four games. Cleveland has covered just one of the past seven games against Baltimore when playing at home.
Baltimore has won eight of the last ten over Cleveland and has done so by an average of ten points. On the road or not, the wrong team is favored here. Ravens get the upset.
Best Moneyline Pick: RAVENS +120
Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers Week 14
It’s almost hard to believe the Falcons are 5-7. How they got to five wins with an offense that has sputtered is almost beyond belief. Still, they have done so and can get out of the NFC South basement with a win over Carolina on Sunday.
The Panthers offense is a train wreck. Offensive coordinator Joe Brady was fired and QB Cam Newton isn’t the answer to Carolina’s problems. Christian McCaffrey is done for the season which really makes the Panthers offense bad.
Neither one of these offenses is very good. Atlanta is 27th in scoring; Carolina is 25th, but the Falcons are actually 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games against the Panthers and 4-1 ATS in the last five in Charlotte. The Falcons can keep Sunday’s game close enough to win.
Best Moneyline Pick: ATLANTA +120
Houston Texans vs. Seattle Seahawks Week 14
Houston might have the worst offense in the NFL. Actually, check that. The Texans do have the worst offense in the NFL, but every so often they are the squirrel that finds the nut. Week 14 could be one of those times.
The Texans are dead last in rushing offense and scoring and 31 st in passing offense. QB Tyrod Taylor was awful last week in a 31-0 loss to the Colts. He was pulled for Davis Mills who wasn’t much better.
Prior to the loss to Indy, Houston’s defense allowed only 17 points per game over its previous three. If the Texans defense can keep a Seattle offense that is 23 rd in scoring in check, Houston has a shot. The Texans need Taylor to deliver as he did when Houston upset Tennessee 22-13.
Best Moneyline Pick: TEXANS +280
