Last week we decided to do something different and leave Jonathan Taylor out of our touchdown scoring prop. We have decided that we are going to do the same thing this week, which makes two weeks in a row. But, of course, we have to, because the Colts have a bye week.
But you can rest assured, after scoring a touchdown in Indy’s 31- 0 win over Houston, we’ll be back on him next week. So you can go ahead and back on that.
Cordarrelle Patterson Props Picks for Week 14
Falcons vs. Panthers Betting Report
Time: Sunday, December 12 (1 PM ET)
TD Scoring Odds: -130 to score “Anytime” Touchdown
One of the things that is going to be very interesting about Atlanta’s game against Carolina this week is whether the Falcons can make something happen against the Carolina defense, which is still tops in the NFL in yards allowed per drive. But if anyone can do it, it’s going to be Patterson, who is actually averaging 3.4 yards per carry after contact, which is something that you might not have expected out of a converted wide receiver going to the backfield.
And only two receivers in the NFL who are playing this weekend have averaged more yards per route run. Those guys are Deebo Samuel and Cooper Kupp, so this guy is in great company. I guess what we’re saying is that if Atlanta is going into the end zone, Patterson is the guy who is going to do it for them.
Mike Evans Props Picks for Week 14
Bills vs. Buccaneers Betting Report
Time: Sunday, December 12 (1 PM ET)
TD Scoring Odds: +105 to score “Anytime” Touchdown
If you have followed what we’ve written this week, we seem to be playing a lot of these games to go under the total. We’re not sure that’s going to happen in the contest between the Bills and Bucs. Remember that Tre White, Buffalo’s top cornerback, is out for the season with a torn ACL. So the Bills will likely have to leave a top-level NFL wide receiver with less coverage than they would normally want to. When it comes to scoring touchdowns, the guy who would be most dangerous in this situation is Mike Evans, who has tallied ten TD’s this season. Chris Godwin is the guy with more yardage to his credit (949-794), but Evans is the pass-catcher who Tom Brady looks for when it is time to cross the goal line.
And remember also that the Buccaneers can convert red-zone opportunities, as from what we understand, Brady has thrown 52 red-zone touchdowns since he joined the team, without so much as one interception.
Travis Kelce Props Picks for Week 14
Raiders vs. Chiefs Betting Report
Time: Sunday, December 12 (1 PM ET)
TD Scoring Odds: -125 to score “Anytime” Touchdown
Sure, Kelce has caught only five touchdown passes, and one in the last seven games. But keep in mind that the Raiders have given up the second most yards to the tight end position, and if Las Vegas decides that it wants to take away some of the deeper routes, as has been the custom when teams are playing against Patrick Mahomes, Kelce is one of the better mid-range options imaginable. He had eight catches for 119 yards in the first meeting.
Taysom Hill Props Picks for Week 14
Saints vs. Jets Betting Report
Time: Sunday, December 12 (1 PM ET)
TD Scoring Odds: +150 to score “Anytime” Touchdown
Hill says his finger injury isn’t all that much of a problem, although we’ll believe that when we see it. last time out he threw four INT’s against Dallas.
However, this is a new day, and the Saints line up against the most permissive defense in the NFL. And that means they’ll allow yardage just about any way you want – ground, air, cyberspace, whatever.
We didn’t want to become preoccupied with his rushing figures, but he did have 101 yards vs. the Cowboys, and he has scored three TD’s in 31 carries. This week, Alvin Kamara provides a nice diversion.
Cam Newton Props Picks for Week 14
Time: Sunday, December 12 (1 PM ET)
TD Scoring Odds: +125 to score “Anytime” Touchdown
Yes, we are back to the Atlanta-Carolina game again. As best as I can read between the lines, there was probably some kind of disconnect between offensive coordinator Joe Brady, who prefers a dropback-type quarterback, and Cam Newton, who generally does what he has to. And the results between the two were awful two Sundays ago in Miami, as Newton completed five of 21 passes with two interceptions and got benched.
Well, Brady got the longer benching, as he was fired, while Newton is still standing as the Panthers’ starting quarterback. Newton hasn’t necessarily taken off with the ball with abandon, but maybe he gets more of a green light to do that this week, as head coach Matt Rhule says he wants to run the ball more, but doesn’t have any stud running backs with Christian McCaffrey injured. The former Heisman Trophy winner has 16 carries, and three of them have gone for touchdowns.
