Volkov vs. Rozenstruik Prediction

This matchup is one of the best fights in the division right now. Two very high-level kickboxers will try to solve each other like puzzles for 25 minutes. True fans of MMA will enjoy this bout.

I believe that this fight will have lots of “feeling out” in the early rounds. Volkov, a master at keeping his distance, will have lots of respect for Rozenstruik’s power. Rozenstruik might need to figure out how to even get to Volkov because of his size.

Look for the fight to go the distance. Both guys are durable, and it will be a kickboxing match.

Ige vs. Evloev Prediction

Dan “50k” Ige will be returning to the octagon. He’ll face the tough undefeated Russian featherweight Movsar Evloev in the night’s co-main event.

Both are very similar in size, but Ige seems to pack the bigger punch. Evloev will be looking to take this fight to the ground. He usually fights to decision victories in the UFC.

This might be looked at negatively by a lot of fans. However, Evloev fights for positions all 15 minutes and seems to be chasing finishes. I think it will be a tall task to finish Ige on Saturday.

Ige will have a hard time slowing down the chain-wrestling attack from Evloev. He is a master of Greco-Roman and recently moved to an American Top Team to train in 2020. This is one of the best gyms in America. The odds are against Ige to be able to defend takedowns for 15 minutes.

I can see Evloev gassing out in the third round if Ige is durable and handles damage well. So look for a late-finish underdog win out of Ige, even though it will be tough.

Trizano vs. Almeida Prediction

Another fight in the UFC featherweight division will be taking place on the main card. Mike Trizano (10-2) will be going against Lucas Almeida (12-1). Both guys are looking to take big steps up in the rankings while in their fighting primes. Big opportunity for both.

Both guys are very similar in size. However, Almeida will be making a much bigger weight cut this week. Almeida has fought many times in the lightweight division. It will be interesting to see this weight cut and how he looks on Friday at the weigh-ins.

Lucas Almeida has a lot of finishes in his career, but they seem to all be from the bottom position. I don’t think Trizano will try to take him down at all, so this is looking like it will be a striking match.

All roads lead to a close decision at the end of 15 minutes. This is what Trizano does for a living. He handles himself on the feet just enough to edge out a decision. He is also better in all aspects on the feet than Almeida.
