Evegeni Malkin Over 3.5 shots (+115)

Penguins vs. Blue Jackets Predictions

The Pittsburgh Penguins are getting older. Malkin, along with long-time teammates Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang, are running out of opportunities to win the Stanley Cup.

How well the offense has been playing has helped give Penguins fans optimism early in the season. The Penguins have scored 18 goals in four games.

Malkin has been at the center of their attack, scoring three times and getting 19 shots on goal. In three of the Penguins first four games, Malkin has finished with five or more shots. While he didn’t get close last game, Pittsburgh also had an early lead and didn’t need to chase goals.

Alexander Ovechkin to Score a Goal (+100)

Kings vs. Capitals Predictions

Even at 36, Ovechkin is someone that the Washington Capitals can count on to score goals. After opening the season on a three-game goalless streak, Ovechkin broke through with two goals against the Canucks last Monday. While Ovechkin hasn’t had much puck luck so far, the aggression has been there.

Ovechkin has put 19 shots on goal, including three games where he’s had four shots on goal or more. The Los Angeles Kings just got lit up by the Penguins and showed they are vulnerable.

Filip Forsberg Under 3.5 shots (-130)

Flyers vs. Predators Predictions

Thanks to playing in the NHL Global Series to open the season, the Nashville Predators have already logged six games this season. Filip Forsberg is off to a tough start. He has a plus/minus differential of -5.

He will be up against the Philadelphia Flyers, who have only allowed 2.5 goals per game so far this season, which ranks fifth in the league.

Forsberg has recorded four or more shots in three games this season. Playing against a more intense Philadelphia defense, Forsberg will come in just below the number.

NHL Picks

Connor McDavid to Record Two or More Points (-155)

Blues vs. Oilers Predictions

McDavid hasn’t wasted any time this season continuing his tradition as more than a point-a-game type of player. Through four games, McDavid has scored five goals and had five assists. In two of those games, McDavid finished with two or more points.

McDavid will look to test a St. Louis defense that has been fairly stingy so far. The Blues only allow 2.5 goals per game, which is tied for fifth-best in the NHL. Edmonton, though, has a way of dragging teams into the game it wants to play.

Nathan MacKinnon to Score at Least Two Points (+163)

Avalanche vs. Golden Knights Predictions

Colorado’s captain has recorded eight points through five games. MacKinnon will hope to energize the team against a strong Vegas Golden Knights defense. Vegas has allowed 2.00 goals per game, which is tied for second-best in the league.

The Golden Knights have struggled on the penalty kill, allowing their opponents to convert 78.6 percent of their opportunities, which ranks 18th in the league.
