Most Profitable NFL Player Props to Bet On

Let’s take a look at a few examples.

Quarterback (QB) Prop Bets

At most any online sportsbook, you can find a list of NFL player prop bets. One of the more popular categories involves quarterback prop bets, arguably the most important position in all of football.

Arizona’s Kyler Murray won last year’s Rookie of the Year award after he threw for 3,722 yards and 20 touchdowns and ran for another 544 yards and four more scores.

This year, bettors can get in on action on Murray in the player props market. The first bet is one on passing yards. That Murray will go Over 3950.5 passing yards is listed at -150 odds. Under 3950.5 is priced at +110.

Remember, favorites are always listed with the minus “-“ sign. In this case, the favorite is that Murray will throw for 3,951 yards or more. In head coach Kliff Kingsbury’s Air Raid offense that is highly plausible.

Bettors can also wager on Murray in the regular season passing touchdowns category. In this NFL player prop, you are betting on whether a quarterback will throw for more or less than a certain number of touchdowns.

Murray going Over 25.5 touchdowns is listed at -120. In this example, the odds that Murray throws for less than 25.5 touchdowns is given the exact same odds (-120).

One of the more intriguing quarterback props is on Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes and the number of touchdown passes he will throw. Going Over 36.5 is listed as the favorite at -165, but the Under is priced at +125.

Mahomes threw 50 touchdown passes in his first year as a starter. Last year, he threw a much more human 26 scoring passes though he did miss two games. The NFL leader normally throws for more than 30 scores, but the average number of touchdowns thrown by an NFL quarterback in a season is in the mid-20s.

Running Back (RB) and Wide Receiver (WR) Prop Bets

You can find similar bets for other players like running backs and wide receivers. Last year’s NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry will be a popular bet this season. He ran for a career-high 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns last year.

Henry’s Over/Under number is 1290.5 and both the Over and Under are priced at -120.

Another player that will likely receive a lot of action is DeAndre Hopkins. The wide receiver was traded from Houston to Arizona where he will catch passes from Murray.

That Hopkins catches Over 8.5 touchdowns is listed at -130. The Under is priced at -110. Hopkins has 54 career touchdowns in seven seasons. He has eclipsed eight touchdown receptions three times (2015, 2017, 2018). In each of those seasons, he had double digit touchdown catches. Last year, Hopkins had seven.

Betting NFL player props can be both fun and profitable. Choose from a long list of bets and enjoy the rewards this NFL season.
