Kansas City Chiefs to Score First Prop
My first pick for Sunday is the Kansas City Chiefs. They’re hosting the Denver Broncos on Sunday night, which is just unfair.
Kansas City is better in every area of the game, and I expect this to be evident on Sunday night. The Chiefs are 10-1 while Denver is 4-7.
Kansas City beat Denver 43-16 back in October. The Chiefs’ offense has only improved since this contest, and Denver has managed to get worse.
Kansas City is second in the league in points per game. It favors the pass, but the Chiefs also run the ball very efficiently. They’re third in the league in first-quarter scoring as well.
The Denver defense is giving up over 27 points per game. The Broncos are decent against the pass, but Patrick Mahomes will still be able to take advantage of the unit.
The Denver offense has only scored a combined 28 points in its past three games. This makes me confident that they won’t score first even if they take the opening kick.

Miami Dolphins to Score First Prop
Miami will host Cincinnati this weekend. Joe Burrow is no longer a factor for the Bengals, as he’s sidelined for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Cincinnati’s offense became much weaker off that injury alone. The Bengals aren’t great anywhere on the field.
Miami has been a major surprise this season. The Dolphins have looked solid with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback.
Tagovailoa is questionable for Sunday but still expected to start. The team leads the league in first-quarter scoring with an average of 8.2 points per game.
The Bengals give up over 26 points per game. The team is very beaten up on the defensive side of the ball.
They also will have trouble scoring against a really good Dolphins defense. I like Tagovailoa taking the ball down the field for the first score of the game.

Green Bay Packers to Score First Prop
Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t seemed to age just yet in his Hall of Fame career. Rodgers is 37 years old but is leading the league in touchdown passes.
He has only thrown four interceptions on the year and has a quarterback rating of 85.1. This is good for second in the league.
As a unit, Green Bay is third in the league when it comes to drive success rate (DSR). The Packers will host the Eagles on Sunday.
The Eagles have shown the ability to compete but haven’t looked good much this season. Carson Wentz is leading the league in all the wrong categories.
I don’t worry about them scoring much on Green Bay’s defense this Sunday.
NFL Week 13 Betting Lines
Minnesota Vikings to Score First Prop
Minnesota will host Jacksonville on Sunday. The only thing that Jacksonville is competing for is the first pick in the 2021 NFL draft. The team is awful on both sides of the ball.
The Jaguars have the 28th-ranked scoring offense. Defensively, they’re giving up 30 points per game, putting them at 30th in the league.
Minnesota is 5-6, but don’t let their record fool you. This is one of the best teams in the league with a sub-.500 record.
The Vikings struggle on the defensive side of the football, but they’re better than Jacksonville’s offense. Surprisingly, they’re fourth in the league in first-quarter scoring.
Dalvin Cook is questionable for this one, but Adam Thielen has returned to the lineup from the COVID-19/reserve list. I expect this to create some quick scoring for the Vikings on Sunday.
