Are you ready for some post-Christmas hockey action? The NHL resumes on Tuesday, December 27th, with a total of 11 games on the schedule. Below, you can find my recommended NHL player props picks for Tuesday.
The Buffalo Sabres game at the Columbus Blue Jackets has been postponed, but there are still plenty of exciting NHL player props to take advantage of. I have explored several markets to find the best bets for Tuesday’s match-ups.
Jordan Martinook – Over 0.5 Points (+105)
Blackhawks vs. Hurricanes Predictions
On Friday, the Carolina Hurricanes extended their winning streak to eight games with a dramatic 6-5 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. As a result, the Canes find themselves at the summit of the Metropolitan Division.
Jordan Martinook starred against Philadelphia, bagging a goal and two assists. Carolina faces the struggling Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday and Martinook will be confident of adding more points to his tally at PNC Arena.
Alexander Ovechkin – Over 0.5 Goals (+125)
Capitals vs. Rangers Predictions
Alexander Ovechkin was the star of the show when the Washington Capitals beat the Winnepeg Jets 4-1 last time out. In addition to notching two goals and an assist, the legendary 37-year-old racked up seven shots on goal.
Thanks largely to Ovechkin’s magic, Washington heads into Tuesday’s game against the New York Rangers on a four-game winning streak. Only six players have scored more goals than Ovechkin this season, so he will fancy his chances of finding the net on Tuesday.
JT Miller – Over 2.5 SOG (+100)
Sharks vs. Canucks Predictions
It is no secret that the Vancouver Canucks are enduring an inconsistent season. However, following back-to-back victories over the Seattle Kraken and Edmonton Oilers, the Canucks look set to enjoy more success against the San Jose Sharks.
Vancouver beat Edmonton 5-2 on Friday, with JT Miller scoring two goals. The 29-year-old also chalked up five shots on goal last time out, meaning he shouldn’t struggle to record over 2.5 SOG against off-form San Jose.
Alec Martinez – Over 2.5 Blocked Shots (-150)
Golden Knights vs. Kings Predictions
The top two teams in the Pacific Division go head-to-head on Tuesday, with the Los Angeles Kings hosting the Vegas Golden Knights at Crypto.com Arena. The Golden Knights lead the way after picking up four wins in six games, but the Kings are hot on their heels.
This is destined to be a close-fought battle between two strong sides. With that in mind, I expect both teams to rack up plenty of blocked shots. Alec Martinez sits atop the league’s blocked shots leaderboard, so I’m backing him to register over 2.5 blocks on Tuesday.
Connor McDavid – Over 0.5 Goals (-105)
Connor McDavid finds himself at the summit of the Rocket Richard Trophy leaderboard, having bagged 30 goals in 35 games this season. The Edmonton Oilers have struggled for consistency of late, but McDavid has remained a constant threat.
Impressively, McDavid has scored in five of his last six appearances. When you look at the bigger picture, he has netted nine goals across the past ten games. For that reason, I’m confident that he will find the net against the Calgary Flames.
