NFL Playoffs Divisional Round Betting Preview | Sides and Totals

The Raiders and Bengals took the field to start the day last Saturday and it was a solid game. The ending was a debacle and to be honest, the Bengals were the most underwhelming team on the field. Sure, we love Burrow, he’s on his way to glory one day but will it be this weekend? Can he beat the Titans on the road? We say yes, he can, but will his team join in on the effort?

Online Sportsbooks Reviews

The Bills exposed the Patriots. We still think the Patriots are a good football team and with Bill at the helm, they will be a force next season. They were not prepared for this game and the Bills played perfect offense. They never gave the ball up, they never punted, they never kicked a field goal, and they only scored! That’s not an easy task to accomplish. The Patriots let up and let their fans down on defense. What an ugly mess. The Bills have a tall order in front of them as they head to Arrowhead. They know the drill and they won in KC back on October 10th, will they do it again?

The Buccaneers beating the Eagles was no surprise whatsoever, now they face the real challenge against the Rams who have beaten them this season, The 49ers head to Lambeau and take on the Packers, who have also beat them. Both games will be close, and both will be a back-and-forth effort. Get your bets in, call the offshore bookie and make this weekend count.

Bengals (10-7, 11-7-0 ATS) @ Titans (12-5, 10-7-0 ATS)

Bengals vs. Titans Preview

Odds: Titans -3.5, 47.5

The Bengals beat the Raiders and here we are, can they beat the Titans in Tennessee? Although as we always say, “scoreboard is scoreboard” listen, Joe Burrow is a great young talent with gaudy numbers coming out the wazoo, but remember, the Raiders probably should have won that game last week. The way the game ended was a clunky nightmare for the Raiders and a ‘just scraping by moment’ for the Bengals. Do the Bengals have anything left in the tank; can they pull a rabbit out of the hat in Nashville?

The Bengals were sloppy against the Raiders and the Titans are coming off a bye. The Titans are in the driver’s seat with Henry back, Jones… and they are fresh. This team is ready to pounce and we say this game gets ugly. Mike Vrabel is 4-0 ATS after a bye, and he is beating the spread by 19. This team beat the Texans with their third unit, in Houston. Give the Titans their just due, they have been through some things this past season and have risen above. They come in having won 4 of 5 with the one loss coming by way of the Steelers, 13-19. This team put together some BIG wins such as 34-3 over the Dolphins who were riding a 7-game winning streak. A 20-17 come from behind win over the 49ers, a 34-31 win over Buffalo, a 27-3 win over the Chiefs, a 28-16 win over the Rams, and a 23-21 win over the Saints. At the end of the day, this team is chock full of fighters and the Bengals have very few answers. Burrow can’t do this alone.

Pick: Titans -3.5, Under 47.5

NFL Betting Odds

49ers (10-7, 10-8-0 ATS) @ Packers (13-4, 12-5-0 ATS)

49ers vs. Packers Preview

Odds: Packers -5.5, 47

The Packers are healthy and have had the last two weeks off. The 49ers are limping into Lambeau with 6-days rest, and a Nick Bosa that may not play, if he does, he won’t be 100%. This matchup for the 49ers will mark their 6th of the last 8-games on the road, and 6-days rest. We don’t see it. YES, we like Garoppolo, and yes, we like the 49ers as an organization… Put the pen down, we know, we know what you want to say, but you know what, the facts are the facts.

We can’t go back in time and change a brutal schedule and injuries. The 49ers have had some great moments this past season and then, on the other hand, some huge letdowns. The Dallas win… in Dallas last week, in the Wild Card game was the biggest win for this franchise in a long time, however, the Cowboys are not that special. We say the “biggest win in a long” time because the national medial hypes the Cowboys. The Cowboys are a flawed football team and it starts with coaching. The 49ers came in ready to play and the Cowboys were full of bumbling mistakes.

The Packers have beat the 49ers this season in San Francisco, 30-28, they ended the season with a 13-4 record, while going 12-5 against the spread. They opened the season with a terrible loss to the Saints, 3-38, from there they rattled off 7 consecutive wins, 4 of those wins came on the road in San Francisco, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Arizona, then suffering their 2nd loss of the season on November 7th, to the Chiefs 7-13, without Aaron Rodgers. Bottom Line: The Packers have been a better-than-great football team down the stretch and throughout this season. They were great against a very difficult schedule. Rodgers is having an MVP season, he is the MVP, there is simply no argument. The man has been stellar. He will win this football game.

Pick: Packers -5.5, Over 47

Rams (12-5, 9-9-0 ATS) @ Buccaneers (13-4, 10-8-0 ATS)

Rams vs. Buccaneers Preview

Odds: Buccaneers -3, 48

The Rams have had a darn good football season, so have the Bucs. Both of these teams are capable of winning a playoff game and you can bet that you will see a great effort from both Brady and Stafford. We all know the Brady story, it’s not tired, or boring, however, it simply matters not. He may be the GOAT, who cares? Really, why does it matter? Who wins this playoff game and what is the best bet? That’s what matters. The Bucs have lost some head- scratchers this year, without question, they have lost in some very questionable ways.

It seems strange to talk about losses when they have just 4 on the season but we wouldn’t be doing this write-up right, if we didn’t mention the loss to the Saints, 0-9, the loss to Washington, 19-29, the second loss to the Saints, 27-36, and the loss to the Rams, 34-24. Will they lose to the Rams twice? The first time was in LA, this one is back in the friendly confines, does that matter? NO. The Rams have had some weird games themselves, such as the 49ers loss on January 9th, 24-27, in OT, or the drilling they took in San Francisco on Monday Night Football, 10-31. Here is the thing… The Rams lost 5-games this season and every loss came by way of a winning, and a playoff team. They lost to the Cardinals, the Titans, the 49ers, and the Packers.

There is no shame in losing to any of the before-mentioned teams, this is how good teams grow into better teams. The Rams are growing and getting better, they proved it with a dominating win last week in the Wild Card matchup with the Cardinals. The Rams are healthy, and Stafford is playing with a great deal of confidence.

Look, Brady is old, but he doesn’t play old. He’s still got game and he will do everything he can to keep the Bucs in the game, it won’t be enough. The Rams have the defense and the offensive weapons. Look for Kupp and Stafford to hook up all day and look for the defense to give Brady big problems.

Pick: Rams +3, Under 48

NFL Best Bets

Bills (11-6, 10-6-2 ATS) @ Chiefs (12-5, 9-9-0 ATS)

Bills vs. Chiefs Preview

Odds: Chiefs -1.5, 54

How many times can the Buffalo Bills underwhelm us? How many times can they beat the Chiefs? They have already done it once, back on the 10th of October, in a 38-20 blowout, in Arrowhead. Will the Chiefs be ready, or will they fail the KC faithful? The Chiefs have loads of talent and anyone that has watched them play knows they can beat anybody on any given day; however, they have been discovered. The Chiefs have not taken a step back, not at all, they have simply been discovered. Mahomes has been figured out. The Chiefs have a game plan and that plan has been built around Mahomes and Kelce.

There are a few games that Reid restructured his plan and went to the running game first, it worked, he must do that again. Run first, focus on stopping the run, and do NOT get in a shootout with Alen. Mahomes must be himself, and not try and keep up, can he, well yes, but when he plays a similar offense, he loses… Titans, Bills, and so on. Play tight, play defense, and keep the pace at your speed, not the Bills.

Our problem with the Bills is one thing only… they tend to lose sight of the urgency. They do not have urgency for the moment. They had better play a two-minute drill in this one, keep the defense off the field, and score on every drive. Run that score up over 54 and they will win this affair. Should this game be a grind-it-out, 17-16 kind of game – the Chiefs win all day long. Many tend to think the opposite, but look at the Patriots loss. We think a shootout goes to the Bills, and a close grind it out, pound it out, goes to the Chiefs. Alen can play with Mahomes, that’s easy, but the defense had better step up for the \Chiefs and we think it will. The Bills are not there yet.

Pick: Chiefs -1.5, Under 54

The Wild Card games last week were a lot of fun and the Cowboys let us down. Who do you think will let us down this week? We like the Rams, the Packers, the Titans, and the Chiefs. Can you beat us?
