Bettors still have plenty of opportunities to get in on the college basketball action. While road underdogs have won 52.1 percent of all games this season, totals have come in almost even. The Over has hit 50.5 percent of the time with the Under at 49.5 percent.

There is still value out there on college basketball totals. These are tonight’s best Over/Under picks for Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

Duke vs. Virginia Game Total

Duke vs. Virginia Picks

PICK: OVER 130

Duke has won four in a row and nine of its last ten games. They scored 71 or more points in eight of those ten games.

Virginia is one of the nation’s top defenses holding opponents to just 60.1 points a game, but this is a Duke team on a roll. The Blue Devils average 80.1 points per game and four of their last six games have seen the total go Over.

The Cavaliers with their defense have still seen the total go Over in five of their last seven games. In this series, the total has gone Over in four of the last five and four of the last five totals – 137, 131, 152, and 142 – are all higher than tonight’s total.

College Basketball Odds

TCU vs. Texas Game Total

TCU vs. Texas Picks

PICK: OVER 127.5

It’s rare to see a total this low in a college basketball game. Yes, both teams are very good defensively. Texas is fourth in the nation giving up just 57.7 points a game.

But, when you play defense like that, you end up with some low totals. The result is that games are going to go Over. For the Longhorns, four of their last six totals have gone Over. It’s the same for TCU, which is a top 40 defense (63.9 ppg). Seven of their last nine totals have gone Over.

Tonight’s number is just too low. In the last three games in this series, the two teams have averaged 129 points. Over the last ten, that average is over 130.

Xavier vs. Providence Game Total

Xavier vs. Providence Picks

PICK: UNDER 139.5

Xavier hasn’t scored over 75 points in a game in February. Part of the problem is shooting poorly from behind the three-point arc. They rank 236th in three-point percentage according to KenPom.

Providence plays at a slower tempo to and should control the pace of this game. The Friars rank 294th in average possession length and 277th in adjusted tempo. This is a game in which both teams could end up in the 60s.

College Basketball Predictions

Wyoming vs. Colorado State Game Total

Wyoming vs. Colorado State Picks

PICK: UNDER 144

Wyoming has the most efficient offense in the Mountain West, but the Cowboys play at a very slow pace. A full 95 percent of their offensive possessions are spent in the half court. That’s why they average less than 70 points in road games this season.

Colorado State has held its previous two home opponents to fewer than 60 points. Thirteen of the Rams last 18 games have seen the total go Under. Each of the last seven Wyoming road games has gone Under the total. This one does too.
