NFL Week 5 Over/Under Predictions – Best Totals to Bet On

We’re going to take a look at my top three NFL week 5 over/under predictions.

Last week, I ended up going 1-2 and the two losses were tough. I had U51 in the Cardinals-Panthers game and there were 52 points scored. I had O46 in the Eagles-49ers and they scored 45 points.

Two tough losses by a single point, but we’ll bounce back this week.

Seven games have a total of 50+ points this week. Blindly betting overs for every game so far this season has been profitable, as overs are hitting at 57.1% (36-27) currently.

Cardinals – Jets Week 5 Predictions

Kick-Off: Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 1:00 PM ET

Game Total: 47 Points

The Cardinals (2-2) were hyped up all off-season, but the team is struggling. They have lost two in a row and the problem has been the offense. The Cardinals have an 0-4 over/under record.

Arizona travels to play the winless Jets (0-4). The Jets have a 3-1 over/under record.

The Jets score just 16.2 PPG (31st), but they allow 32.8 PPG (30th). The Cardinals were supposed to have a lethal offense, but they’re only scoring 24.5 PPG (21st), while allowing 23.0 PPG (9th).

Kyler Murray has only tossed 7 TD passes in 2020 and he has 5 INTs already.

With the Cardinals being on the road in a 1:00 PM ET game, I’m betting the under.

Giants – Cowboys Week 5 Predictions

Kick-Off: Sunday, October 11th 2020 at 4:25 PM ET

Game Total: 54 Points

The Giants (0-4) are the lowest scoring team (11.8 PPG) in the NFL. They have only gone over the total once this season. The Cowboys (1-3) rank #3 in points scored (31.5 PPG).

Dallas have a 3-1 over/under record. Not only do they score a lot, but they allow 36.5 PPG (32nd). The Giants allow 24.0 PPG (12th). This total seems a little high at 54 points.

The last three head-to-head (H2H) games have gone over the total and two of those games had more than 54 points scored, but the prior five games before the current streak all stayed under the total.

Even the if the Cowboys erupt for 30+ points, this game could still stay well under the total.

Chargers – Saints Week 5 Predictions

Kick-Off: Sunday, October 12th 2020 at 8:15 PM ET

Game Total: 50 Points

The Chargers (1-3) have a 1-3 over/under record. They have one of the weakest offenses (20.8 PPG – 27th) and one of the best defenses (23.8 PPG – 11th). They play the Saints (2-2) on MNF.

The Saints have a perfect 4-0 over/under record. A lot of points have been scored in their four games this season. NO have scored 30+ points in three of their four games.

On the season, the Saints are scoring 30.8 PPG (5th) and allow 30.8 PPG (25th).

Justin Herbert will draw the start at QB again for LAC. Michael Thomas could be back for the Saints this week and Drew Brees needs him. With this game on primetime in New Orleans, I expect points.
