A lot has happened since early August, which is the last time we checked in on the latest Bill Belichick odds and props. You probably didn’t think we’d need much of an update, either, seeing as ol’ Bill has spent much of his time crushing it on screen for ESPN.
He was likely always inching toward a return to the sideline at some point, though; it was just a matter of time. The other question was which NFL team would hire him, but as it turns out, going back to the pros just wasn’t in the cards.
Instead, Belichick agreed to a deal with the North Carolina Tar Heels, officially bringing him to college football. Think that hiring marks the end of betting on what will happen to Bill Belichick? Think again.
There are still a litany of Bill Belichick props out there, and considering his age and the unpredictable nature of his career, we shouldn’t waste any time placing some bets at our favorite online betting sites.
To assist you in that plight, I’ll break down all of the wagers, the latest odds, and my top picks.

Bill Belichick Predictions
As you can see, there is a lot to consider when betting on Bill Belichick’s future. He’s widely considered the greatest head coach in NFL history, so you can understand the intrigue.
More than just wondering about what happens to Belichick, of course, you can actually bet on it. Let’s go over all of these Bill Belichick wagers and my reasoning for each pick.
Will North Carolina Reach the College Football Playoff in 2025-26?
- Yes (+750)
- No (N/A)
I highly doubt the North Carolina Tar Heels will do anything of substance in Bill Belichick’s first year on the job. The college football odds going into next year already seem to agree with me.
They have a shot at finishing above .500, but ending the year as one of the top 12 teams in the entire nation feels like a considerable stretch.
UNC was just 6-6 during the regular season, while their defense was atrocious. They had a game where they allowed James Madison of all schools to hang a 70 burger on them.
Belichick has loads of experience and serious pull, so thanks to the transfer portal, this team could get better in a hurry. But it takes more than one big name and a good off-season to go from getting smoked by James Madison to contending for a national title.
Total Years Bill Belichick Coaches North Carolina
- Over 2.5 (-120)
- Under 2.5 (-120)
The short-term Bill Belichick props are where you can quickly stack up some wins, but I don’t mind betting on his long-term future, either.
One such prop asks if Bill Belichick will coach more than two years at UNC. It’s fair to think he might, simply because a big move like this suggests he’s all-in, plus the Tar Heels did offer him a huge five-year deal right out of the gates.
There’s some sentimental value with him coaching UNC, too, as Belichick’s father was an assistant for this school back in the 50s. That said, I do still think Belichick has his sights set on a return to the NFL.
Belichick can still break the all-time NFL head coaching wins record, and he isn’t getting any younger. I think he uses one (maybe two) good seasons at North Carolina to earn him one last crack at the big leagues before he retires.
To Happen First: Fired or Breaks Up with GF
- Fired After 2025 season (-120)
- Breaks Up with Girlfriend (-120)
Bill Belichick is taking over a sinking ship. He has to correct an atrocious defense, insert his system, and bring in new talent. Then everyone needs to buy in and see what can happen over the next 1-2 years.
There’s almost zero chance Belichick gets canned after his first season. The only way that happens is if he proves to be completely inept and/or UNC fails to win any games.
It’s much more likely that his relationship falters before he’s ever shown the door. Belichick is notoriously dating a 24-year old, so their age gap alone is reason to believe they won’t last forever.
Belichick and Jordon Hudson appear to be happy together, but he’s about to dive into a football season and it remains to be seen what kind of impact that has on their relationship. While I can’t say they for sure won’t still be together by the end of UNC’s 2025-26 campaign, I’d bet on a break-up over a firing.
To Happen First: GF Enrolls at UNC or Dates UNC Player
- Enrolls at UNC (-120)
- Dates UNC Player (-120)
This is a silly Bill Belichick prop bet that feels like a waste of time. Belichick’s lady is just 24 years old, so in theory she could enroll at the university. However, she already went to college and it’d be a bit awkward if this actually took place.
The other option isn’t a whole lot more realistic, but if a break-up did happen, it wouldn’t be completely illogical. In theory, if the two parted ways, she could end up in a relationship with someone she runs into during his time at UNC.
I don’t like either bet, but that’s the one I’d make if I had to choose one.
What Will North Carolina’s 2025-26 Win Total Be?
- Over 7.5 wins (+110)
- Under 7.5 wins (-150)
Okay, back to football! If you’re looking for easy NCAAF picks going into next year, I’m not sure this is the wager for you.
North Carolina didn’t deliver on the Over for this bet in 2024, so Bill Belichick definitely has his work cut out for him in his first year on the job. That said, Mack Brown did get six wins in his last season and hit this Over three times in his second stint with the Tar Heels.
Belichick also had years and years of success in the NFL with the New England Patriots, plus he could lean on the transfer portal to bring in gobs of talent. All things considered, eight wins in year one might not be that crazy.
Besides, you’re getting plus money with this wager and we’ve seen numerous coaches of less talent and reputation take over bad squads and turn them into winners right away. Belichick has earned our trust.
Will North Carolina Reach the ACC Championship?
- Yes (+500)
- No (N/A)
While I like North Carolina’s chances of being competitive and maybe even good in Belichick’s first go at it in the college ranks, reaching the ACC Championship right away seems like too lofty of a goal.
North Carolina’s defense is a huge obstacle, and there’s simply too many things for Belichick to fix for me to comfortably attach myself to a prediction like this.
Will North Carolina Win the ACC Championship?
- Yes (+1000)
- No (N/A)
I’d be much more inclined to bet on UNC to at least get to the ACC title game. However, I have zero hope of them actually winning it all in Belichick’s first year on the job.
North Carolina was 3-5 inside a competitive conference this year, and that had them ranking as the 13th best team. That’s already a lot of ground to cover, even before you start considering the powerhouses like SMU, Clemson, and Miami.
There’s even Louisvilla and Syracuse, while the likes of Georgia Tech and Duke are better than they have been in the past. UNC will also be on the upward swing, but it will take longer than one year for them to see this hire turn into anything big.
Will North Carolina Win 10+ Games in 2025?
- Yes (+1000)
- No (N/A)
I give the Tar Heels a solid shot at winning over 7.5 games and enjoying a reasonably decent 2025-26 season. But this Bill Belichick prop takes any optimism way too far.
If UNC somehow won 10+ games they would likely be in contention for the best record in the ACC, and I just don’t think it’s fair to demand that immediately. Impossible? No. Probable? Not at all.
How Many Power Four Players Will Transfer to UNC?
- Over 13.5 (+110)
- Under 13.5 (-150)
This one is totally up in the air, as we really won’t have any idea as to how many total players will be on the move this year – let alone which ones will eye UNC as a top destination.
On top of that, we have no clue which players Belichick wants. That said, my guess is he took one look at this current UNC roster and realized he had to trim some fat and add some legit talent.
Due to that – plus the fact that the amount of players transferring schools keeps growing – has me on the ambitious side of this wager. Go big or go home.
Will Bill Belichick Wear a Hoodie to the 1st UNC Game?
- Yes (-175)
- No (+130)
Bill Belichick didn’t wear a cut-off hoodie to every game when he coached in the NFL, but he did it quite a bit. By now, we should be pretty well versed with his persona, and the biggest thing is this dude simply does not care what anyone thinks or says about him.
It’d honestly be out of character if he didn’t wear a hoodie to his first North Carolina game, wouldn’t it?
Which UNC Fraternity Will Bill Belichick Join?
- Beta Theta Pi (+300)
- Sigma Nu (+400)
- Phi Delta Theta (+500)
- Sigma Chi (+600)
- Delta Kappa Epsilon (+800)
- Chi Psi (+1000)
- Phi Gamma Delta (+1200)
- Delta Chi (+1600)
- Kappa Sigma (+2000)
- Sigma Alpha Epsilon (+2500)
This is a funny Bill Belichick prop bet, but one that feels like a total waste of time. The odds all look good and I suppose it’s not impossible for this to happen, but it feels extremely unlikely.
If this were to ever happen, Chi Psi (+1000) would stand out the most, simply because that was the fraternity Bill was in back when he was in college in 1975.
Bill Belichick Coaching Career
Bill Belichick is a hot name for prop bets because he’s had an insane amount of success at the highest level. He is now past his prime at age 72, but he certainly remains relevant and that has everything to do with his success with the New England Patriots.
While Belichick got his start at the pro level all the way back in 1975, he’s best known for guiding the Pats to six Super Bowl wins and nine total Super Bowl appearances. In addition, he claimed two more titles as a defensive coordinator with the New York Giants.
His storied career has netted him three Coach of the Year honors and he stands in as the winningest coach ever in the Super Bowl (8), overall. It remains to be seen what or how Belichick adds to his illustrious coaching career, but his new journey in the college ranks is nothing if not captivating and intriguing.
