The Joker: Folie a Deux odds are out. You can’t bet on whether this is the real Joker (it’s not) or if anything we’ve seen so far is real (it probably isn’t), but there’s still money to be made.
Truth be told, I’d be giddy over the Joker 2 premiere even if I couldn’t bet on what happens in it. The first movie was so riveting that it earned Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar.
A case study on mental illness and the way society turns away those who need us most, Joker hit like jackhammer. Did we really need a second Joker movie? Need is a funny word, but we’ll still gladly accept it.
And since the top online betting sites are giving us Joker 2 prop bets, we might as well see if they’re actually worth betting on. Newsflash, they are.
So, let’s put a smile on that face and breakdown the latest Joker 2 betting odds en route to some winning picks.
When is the Joker 2 Release Date?
Excited to watch and/or bet on the Joker sequel? Samesies. It might be a good idea to know how long you have to place your bets, though, as well as when you can actually watch it in theaters.
Fortunately, the wait isn’t that long. Joker: Folie a Deux hits theaters on October 4th nationwide, and it’s pretty likely it’ll be shown somewhere near you.
It’s been quite the wait for die hard DC fans, as the original Joker flick came out back in 2019. Of course, if you’ve got the betting itch for movies, you can always bet on Beetlejuice 2 props.
Joker: Folie a Deux Cast
Joker was a smash hit, but the sequel might be even better. Why? Well, it’s uncharted territory, for one. It also will be completely different, seeing as it’s set up as a musical.
We’ve already seen the fall of Arthur Fleck, and now we get to see the trial and mental gymnastics that follow up his horrific act on live television.
But back to the cast. Joaquin Phoenix is back to reprise the role that won him an Academy Award, and a few big names from the first movie will be back.
Spoiler alert, but some of the original Joker cast were killed off, so you’re in for several new faces. The biggest is without a doubt music superstar Lady Gaga, who will play opposite of Phoenix as Harley Quinn.
See how she and the rest of the cast stack up.
- Joaquin Phoenix – Arthur Fleck (Joker)
- Lady Gaga – Harley Quinn
- Zazie Beetz – Sophie Dumond
- Brendan Gleeson
- Catherine Keener
- Steve Coogan
Some of the Joker 2 cast has been kept under wraps, so to speak. According to IMDB, there are some big names such as Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Steve Coogan in this film, but it’s a little unclear exactly what roles they play.
Zazie Beetz is also back as Arthur Fleck’s former neighbor. There was speculation during the first movie that the Joker actually killed her and made the audience think otherwise, so perhaps we’ll only see her in flashback scenes.
Or maybe she will be a star witness and testify against the Joker at his trial.
Of course, the most important pieces of the Joker cast for the sequel are Phoenix and Gaga, who come together to spin a marvelous web of twisted love. Their united search for purpose is a driving force behind this movie, and the casting couldn’t have been more spot on.

Joker 2 Predictions
I already gave you my top Joker 2 bets to place, but if you need some more insight as to why I like them, here is a breakdown of my predictions.
How Much Will Joker 2 Earn During its Opening Weekend?
- Over $100 million -150
- Under $100 million +110
First up is a timeless movie wager, as you can bet on how much money Joker: Folie a Deux will make during its first weekend.
Joker made roughly $96 million during its opening weekend the first time around. That was five years ago when COVID was still negatively impacting how we lived our lives – and that included entertainment.
People aren’t scared to go see the movies anymore, and that was a big reason why I hammered the Over for this same bet when looking at Deadpool & Wolverine prop bets. I would apply the same logic here.
For one, the original Joker movie already approached this number. The list of movies surpassing the $100 million earnings mark during their opening weekend keeps growing, too.
They’re often sequels and/or movies dealing with fantasy or fake characters as well. All of that applies to Joker 2, and this movie has insane hype and anticipation.
It’s been a reasonable wait at this time, and for a little while there we weren’t even sure a Joker sequel was going to happen. Add Lady Gaga and the fact that it’s a freaking musical, and everyone who enjoyed Joker (or everyone who likes musicals) is going to race to theaters come October 4th.
Suffice to say, I am smashing the Over here and never looking back.
Bet: Over $100 million -150
What Will Be Said in Joker 2?
- Bruce Wayne -300
- Thomas Wayne +150
- Clown +175
- Batman +225
- Punchline +250
The only bad thing about betting on Joker 2 is that there aren’t more props to work with. I can think of a number of fun Joker 2 wagers that should exist, but you can only bet on what is there.
The first Joker sequel prop has little to do with the movie’s content, but fortunately the other one does. This is actually a multi-faceted wager, too, as you can bet on any of the above words being said at any point during the Joker sequel.
First thing’s first, I don’t see how Batman would make sense here. The movie is supposed to follow the trial of Arthur Fleck not long after he committed murder, so barring some flash forward scenes, the person who goes on to become Batman is a young boy at the time of this film.
It’s not impossible a jump forward could happen, but Batman is priced at +225 for a reason. I’m also not high on Punchline. It also has long odds and there’s nothing specific attaching it to the sequel.
I think each of the first three Joker prop bets are in play, though.
Thomas Wayne died at the end of the first Joker film, so while he won’t be an active participant in Joker 2, he could be shown in flashbacks. That, or being that he died on the same night Fleck committed murder on TV and was a public figure, his name could be mentioned.
That’s all it’d take and at +150, I don’t hate those odds one bit.
Bruce Wayne is the favored pick here, and that’s because he’s the son of Thomas Wayne. It’s quite likely he will be talked about, seeing as he is alive and well during the time of this movie, and he even once had an encounter with Arthur Fleck at his home.
Both of these bets are viable, but I like Clown the most. It has a really nice +175 price, and there are numerous ways it can be attached to the sequel. The easiest is that Fleck is on trial for murder and his occupation literally had him dressed up as a clown.
He admitted to killing a bunch of guys in the subway while dressed up as a clown, and then went on live TV and killed again with his clown makeup on. It’s highly likely his clown makeup is referenced at some point in Joker 2.
Even if that isn’t specifically mentioned, he is known as the Clown Prince of Crime. It’s possible the sequel at some point alludes to that moniker.
I like all three of the top priced Joker 2 props, but Clown is the one I’d target. It’s far more relevant than any of the other options and you get one of the best prices available.
Bet: Clown +175
