Super Bowl 59 takes place at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Sunday, February 9. Per tradition, the big game marks the most popular sporting event to wager on each year.
In fact, there seems to be an increase in NFL prop bets with each Super Bowl. However, one prop bet that remains a stalwart among SB prop betting cards, is the National Anthem.
This year, New Orleans’ Jon Batiste will perform the National Anthem at the biggest stage in 2025. And, as usual, sports betting sites have released numerous prop bets regarding Baptiste’s rendition. Additionally, these sportsbooks have also released NFL odds on two more pre-game songs.
Let’s take a look at the latest National Anthem prop bets and make our NFL predictions for these exciting Super Bowl props.
Who Is Singing The National Anthem At The Super Bowl?
Jon Batiste is a Grammy and Oscar Award winning artist with an impressive resume that’s too long to list for this article. He’s found huge success in TV, the big screen and music. The 38-year-old musician is best known for his mixture of jazz, classical, and R&B genres.
Whitney Houston Super Bowl National Anthem
In 1991, at Super Bowl 25, Whitney Houston sang the Star Spangled Banner and it is widely believed to be the best Super Bowl National Anthem rendition of all-time.

Super Bowl National Anthem Predictions
Check out our expert predictions on the latest Super Bowl National Anthem prop bets:
How Long Will It Take Jon Batiste To Sing The US National Anthem?
- Over 120½ Seconds (-165)
- Under 120½ Seconds (+120)
The odds for Batiste’s rendition of the National Anthem have grown in favor of the Over as more has come in. In fact, the line grew from -120 to -165 depending on which sportsbook you shop at.
You might be surprised to know that the last four Super Bowl National Anthem performances have all gone Over the listed O/U mark. Additionally, eight of the last 12 renditions have all gone over two minutes. The longest rendition came in 2013, when Alicia Keys took 2:36 to perform the National Anthem.
I see Batiste continuing the trend as he methodically and majestically moves through the United States’ National Anthem.
Bet: Over 120.5 seconds (-165)
Length of the final word (“brave”)
- Over 3.5 seconds (-102)
- Under 3.5 seconds (-128)
This one is coin-flip. And, no, I don’t mean the actual Super Bowl Coin Toss. Although, the odds are the same here. There have been renditions where the word “brave” was extended well beyond the 3.5 second mark. And there have been some that came in just short of three seconds.
I’m siding with the Over for this Super Bowl National Anthem prop bet as it offers more value and I think that Batiste could extend that last word a good four or five seconds if he truly takes this rendition beyond two minutes in length.
Bet: Under 3.5 seconds (-128)
Will Jon Batiste perform the anthem with a piano?
- Yes (-400)
- No (+290)
Jon Batiste is well-known for playing the piano. So, I’m rather surprised that the odds for Yes aren’t even higher. They started off between -650 to -700 and have come down to -400 in favor of Yes.
I still believe he will play the piano, which will be the first time that someone has since Keys in 2013. However, both Eric Church in 2021, and Christ Stapleton in 2023, both played their guitars. So, instruments have been used as recent as two years ago.
Bet: Yes (-400)
Will any player or coach cry during the National Anthem?
- Yes (-770)
- No (+450)
The odds for this prop bet have seen the biggest movement of all the National Anthem props. At some sportsbooks, the Yes option opened at -165 odds. As you can see, we’re pushing up towards -800 at some sites. Sure, this line might come down some, but I can’t imagine a scenario where at least one person doesn’t cry.
We’re talking about our country’s National Anthem and at the Super Bowl where these coaches and players dream of getting to. Sure, both teams have played in the Super Bowl recently, but that won’t stop the tears from flowing.
Bet: Yes (-770)
How Long Will It Take To Sing “America The Beautiful”?
- Over 110 Seconds (-120)
- Under 110 Seconds (-120)
I am a big fan of Lauren Daigle. So, I’m definitely looking forward to hearing her sing America The Beautiful at the Super Bowl. Not only do I like her voice, but she has showed perseverance in her musical career after being eliminated from American Idol three times and also suffering from a serious health condition.
Yes, Daigle is a very popular star in the Christian music drama. But she has a voice that can transcend into other genres as well. I believe that Trombone Shorty & Lauren Daigle will take this rendition closer to two minutes and easily surpass the 110 second over/under mark.
Bet: Over 110 Seconds (-120)
How Long Will It Take Ledisi To Sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing”?
- Over 132 Seconds (-120)
- Under 132 Seconds (-120)
For the last three years, Lift Every Voice and Sing has been beautifully performed at the Super Bowl. Often referred to as the “Black National Anthem,” this son was written in the 1890’s by James Weldon Johnson.
At Super Bowl 59, Grammy Award winner Ledisi will perform the song. For those that aren’t familiar, Ledisi is a 15-time Grammy nominee and has performed on many prominent stages like The White House.
With that said, I’m taking the Over on this rendition just like I am with the rest of the pre-game songs.
Bet: Over 132 Seconds (-120)
