The TGL Golf League is shaking things up with its team-based format, high-tech simulators, and, most importantly, world-class talent.
Whether you’re a fan of the PGA Tour or looking to place golf bets through trusted sports betting sites, this brand-new league offers something for everyone. As the season approaches, we’ve broken down everything you need to know—from the league’s structure and team rosters to the latest TGL Golf League Championship odds, schedule, and predictions.
What Is TGL Golf?
TGL Golf is a modern twist on traditional golf, created by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and TMRW Sports. It combines cutting-edge technology with a fast-paced format designed to be a more entertaining version of the classic game.
Instead of sprawling outdoor courses, matches are played in state-of-the-art indoor venues. Players hit full shots on a simulator and complete short-game challenges on a real green, blending the virtual and physical aspects of golf. Think Top Golf, but for the best players on earth.
This unique setup allows for two-hour matches that fit perfectly into primetime TV slots. With a team-based structure and top-tier talent, TGL Golf feels fresh while staying true to the game’s roots.
How Does TGL Golf Work?
The league features six teams, each with four players from the PGA Tour. Matches are held on Monday and Tuesday nights, with the season spanning 15 weeks. The league culminates in playoffs and a championship, adding to the drama and stakes.
At the heart of TGL Golf is its TGL golf simulator, which tracks long shots with precision. Short-game action unfolds on a physical green, making it as thrilling for players as it is for fans. This format keeps the pace fast and the competition intense, giving golf a new spin.

TGL Championship Predictions
Los Angeles Golf Club looks like the team to beat with their balance of talent and experience. Collin Morikawa’s precision and Tommy Fleetwood’s consistency give them an edge in this format, while Justin Rose and Sahith Theegala round out an incredibly versatile roster. LAGC looks like a worthy favorite, though it’s not like there isn’t elite talent elsewhere.
New York Golf Club isn’t far behind, with Matt Fitzpatrick’s calm under pressure and Xander Schauffele’s ability to deliver in clutch moments. Their roster’s depth makes them a strong contender. Schauffele may be the best individual player in the league, which has to count for something. At +350, New York looks like a solid bet with slightly more upside than a wager on LAGC.
Boston Common Golf could play spoiler with Rory McIlroy leading the charge. His explosive play, combined with steady performers like Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott, makes them a dark horse to watch.
Jupiter Links GC has incredible upside with Tiger Woods and Will Zalatoris leading the way. If Tiger is healthy and in form, their odds might be undervalued. Of course, Tiger is also pushing 50, which makes him the oldest player by a sizable margin.
New York Golf Club is my pick for the championship. Their lineup is built for consistency and adaptability, which are crucial in this fast-paced format. This isn’t an easy league to predict given the uncertainty surrounding the unique format, but I’m confident that Schauffele’s presence alone will be enough to keep NYGC firmly in the mix for the first-ever league title.
Bet: New York Golf Club (+350)
