On Saturday, August 3, the WWE returns to PPV with their annual SummerSlam event. This is the 37th installment of the popular summer franchise and it will emanate from the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Saturday’s event marks the second time that the WWE held SummerSlam in Cleveland, with the first being in 1996. That PPV was headlined by Shawn Michaels defending his WWF title against Vader. The 2024 SummerSlam boasts of a main event where Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa.

Currently, there are six title matches scheduled for the event. Additionally, as of this writing, we have seven total matches confirmed.

Let’s take a look at the latest SummerSlam odds, courtesy of the best online betting sites, and make our 2024 WWE SummerSlam predictions.

2024 WWE SummerSlam Predictions

The following WWE SummerSlam predictions are for the confirmed matches as of this writing:

WWE Intercontinental Championship

  • (c)Sami Zayn (+900)
  • Bron Breakker (-3000)

No matter how WWE tries to spin it, or the diehard WWE fans, having Bron Breakker lose at Money in the Bank to Sami Zayn was a big mistake. Sure, Breakker has been able to keep his momentum going, but that loss put a chink in his armor and dented his invincibility. Losing cleanly to Zayn was a bad look.

Now, we have a rematch between the two and Breakker is one of the biggest betting favorites on the board. At MITB, Breakker’s odds reached a high of -200, which is greatly below this weekend’s numbers.

SummerSlam could end up being a moment in WWE history where multiple wrestlers are crowned champions and take the next step in their evolution. Breakker is one of those guys. In fact, SummerSlam is shaping up to be a memorable PPV. It could even surpass this year’s WrestleMania with landmark results like in this IC match.

If you are the bookers of WWE, and you think having Breakker lose again is a good idea, then go slap yourself in the face. Once was already bad enough. A second loss would make him WWE’s version of Wardlow. Take Breakker to win.

Bet: Bron Breakker (-3000)

WWE Women’s Championship Match

  • (c)Bayley (+130)
  • Nia Jax (-170)

Nia Jax has received a solid push to become a massive threat for Bayley’s championship. However, it appears that oddsmakers don’t view her as much of a threat as WWE tried to make her out to be.

Additionally, Jax’s alignment with Tiffany Stratton dampers Nia’s chances of winning. Why put the title on Jax when her associate can cash in the MITB contract at any time?

As much as Jax deserves the win, I’m going with the underdog here. I think Stratton chasing after Bayley would be entertaining for a while. Eventually, Stratton will become champ. Does the WWE pull that trigger this weekend or do they milk it for a few months?

Bet: Bayley (+130)

Women’s World Championship Match

  • (c)Liv Morgan (-600)
  • Rhea Ripley (+350)

Where do we begin with the backstory to this match? The depth behind this feud has made it one of the more exciting and immersive storylines in the WWE today.

Their feud started last year when Rhea Ripley injured Liv Morgan and injured her shoulder. The injury led to Morgan missing several months. When Liv returned at the 2024 Royal Rumble, she was determined to get revenge against Ripley.

At the April 8th episode of RAW, Morgan legitimately injured Ripley’s arm in a backstage altercation. That forced Rhea to vacate the Women’s World Championship. At the King and Queen of the Ring PPV, Morgan would go on to win the title. However, it was due to accidental interference by Ripley’s boo – Dominik Mysterio.

The next few months would see Liv Morgan try to seduce Dominik and fully steal him away from the absent Ripley. When things were about to get steamy for the two, Ripley returned and chased off Morgan on the July 8th episode of RAW.

So, I guess that wasn’t too hard to recap as I first thought. With that said, we are faced with two options here: Dominik stays with Ripley or he goes with Morgan.

If HHH needs some advice, I say turn Dominik against Ripley and have him cost her the match as he unveils his newfound love for Liv. Let’s get that “love for Liv” trending as a hashtag on twitter.

The WWE odds already indicate that most sportsbooks believe Morgan is winning. For the sake of advancing everyone involved in a meaningful, and obvious way, take Morgan to win via help from Dominik.\

Bet: Liv Morgan (-600)

WWE United States Championship Match

  • (c)Logan Paul (+275)
  • LA Knight (-450)

Y’all remember when LA Knight was the “next big thing,” and an undeniable main event star? Well, the WWE found a way to stop that rocket as Knight was shuffled back down to mid-card obscurity.

I say all of that to emphasize how important it would be to give Knight his first real singles title push. The man has been “over” with the fans for quite some time and the WWE should’ve pulled this trigger a long time ago.

Not to mention, he’s making the US title seem important even though it really isn’t. Plus, having Logan Paul lose in his hometown would be the icing on the cake for all of the Paul haters out there.

Let’s also not forget that Knight pinned Paul in a MITB qualifier match and has pretty much been living rent free in Logan’s head for the last few months. And, new champion … LA Knight!

Bet: LA Knight (-450)

WWE Singles Match

  • CM Punk (+215)
  • Drew McIntyre (-325)

The feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre is one of the best in recent memory for the WWE. The two men have done everything possible to keep it going despite CM Punk suffering a torn biceps at the Royal Rumble in January.

With Seth Rollins as the special guest referee in this match, it adds an element of intrigue due to his potential of costing one or both men the match.

This anti-love triangle started at the 2023 Survivor Series when CM Punk returned after 10 years away form the company. His arrival immediately set off both McIntyre and Rollins after the match.

Punk and Rollins began an immediate feud, which ended up dragging McIntyre into it after Punk eliminated the latter at the Royal Rumble. Eventually, The Scottish Warrior would go on to earn a world title shot at WM and relentlessly mock Punk for his injury.

McIntyre would beat Rollins for the title at WM. However, Punk was a commentator at that match and would attack McIntyre afterwards. Damian Priest would run out and cash in his MITB contract to pin McIntyre and win the belt. The Scottish star’s title reign lasted less than 10 minutes.

At Clash at the Castle: Scotland, Punk would cost McIntyre the title for a second time, as he was challenging Priest in his home country. Then at the Money in the Bank PPV, McIntyre would win the 2024 MITB contract and cash it in immediately during the title match between Rollins and Priest.

Punk would interfere to cost both McIntyre and Rollins the title. Now, we finally have Punk and McIntyre in a match to deliver the goods on their red-hot feud, while Rollins is the special referee.

McIntyre is favored in this match, and rightfully so. He’s lost three major matches because of Punk which have cost him the world title all three times. I actually find it humorous typing that statement even though watching those three occasions felt a bit repetitive by time we reached the MITB.

However, we now have Rollins who can prolong this story by costing someone the match. I think it would be hilarious if Rollins tries to cost Punk the match, but ends up costing McIntyre instead. We now have a legit three-man feud that could last until Survivor Series with different combinations of the participants.

The safe bet is on McIntyre to finally win. With that said, don’t be afraid to take a flier on Punk by the accidental assistance from Rollins.

Bet: Drew McIntyre (-325)

World Heavyweight Championship Match

  • (c)Damian Priest (+300)
  • Gunther (-500)

Gunther won the King of the Ring tournament to earn a world title shot. Since Gunther was on RAW, he earned a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. As mentioned above, Priest cashed in his MITB contract to beat McIntyre for the title, after Punk attacked him at the 2024 WrestleMania PPV.

Since then, Priest has been the main man on RAW. Unfortunately, I’ve felt that his reign has been boring. If it weren’t for the challengers like Rollins and McIntyre, Priest’s time as champ would be a waste. And, yet, his victories were tainted, cheapened and meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

In reality, the WWE has failed to build up Priest as the champ after putting in all that work to make him a credible challenger.

I am a big proponent for making Gunther a world champ. Not only is he a character that the fans want to see, but he’s a first-class worker in the ring as well.

The Ring General needs to take his command as the leader of RAW and that reign should begin this weekend. In all honesty, it’s time to end The Judgment Day faction. Have Dominik turn on Ripley and Priest lose this match.

Bet: Gunther (-500)

Undisputed WWE Championship

  • (c)Cody Rhodes (-5000)
  • Solo Sikoa (+1200)

The feud between The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes has been ongoing for two years as it started as a rivalry with Roman Reigns. After Rhodes finally beat Reigns at WrestleMania, The Tribal Chief and The Rock went on a prolonged hiatus. Additionally, Reigns real-life father passed away over the summer. So, he has been absent for almost four months now.

With both The Rock and Reigns gone, Solo Sikoa stepped up to become the leader of The Bloodline. He brought in new members, abused Paul Heyman and has carried on the feud with Rhodes.

Before we predict the winner of this match, let’s take a look at some of the WWE prop bets available for this contest:

Undisputed WWE Championship Prop Bets

The following prop bets are available for the Undisputed WWE Championship match:

Will Cody Rhodes Bleed?

  • Yes (-150)
  • No (+110)

Cody Rhodes will bleed like a stuck pick. In fact, his family has made bleeding an artform in pro wrestling. Whether it’s Dustin Rhodes in AEW, Cody in WWE, or old videos of their father Dusty, the Rhodes family are a bunch of bleeders.

So, now, we have a huge world title match on the second biggest PPV of the year. And, there are odds this low of Rhodes bleeding? We’re getting tremendous value with this prop bet. Take the “yes” option and laugh all the way to the cashier.

Bet: Yes (-150)

How Many “Cross Rhodes” By Cody Rhodes?

  • Over 2.5 (-175)
  • Under 2.5 (+135)

Let’s be honest here, we’ve already seen matches where Rhodes has needed to hit multiple Cross Rhodes to win a match. So, you can bet that he will need to do the same for this SummerSlam showdown against one of the so-called “baddest” men on the roster.

Let’s go with 3 or more Cross Rhodes to get the win.

Bet: Over 2.5 (-175)

Will Roman Reigns Appear In Ring?

  • Yes (-400)
  • No (+250)

A big reason why we’re addressing these prop bets before the prediction is because of this one right here. It’s long been rumored that the WWE was interested in a feud between Solo and Reigns. The entire Sikoa takeover and new Bloodline faction was a calculated move to begin this feud.

Then, the abuse and excommunicating of Paul Heyman from the group, was another great step towards a massive feud between Solo and Reigns. Additionally, it’s a step towards two Bloodlines battling on television and PPV events.

I have no doubt that Reigns shows up to reclaim what was his. It would be absolutely foolish if WWE just had a tease of Reigns on the big screen or only his music. The time is now, for the WWE to escalate this storyline and move on to the next chapter.

Bet: Yes (-400)

Undisputed WWE Championship Prediction

With Roman Reigns returning to WWE programming for the first time in nearly four months, it will have to be to confront Sikoa. This also means it would serve as a way to have Rhodes retain the title without cleanly pinning Solo. The bet here, is clearly on Rhodes retaining. Unfortunately, there’s no value as Cody has the largest odds for the entire PPV.

Bet: Cody Rhodes (-5000)

WWE SummerSlam Prop Bets

WWE betting sites have the following SummerSlam prop bets available:

Will a female wrestler expose a nipple?

  • Yes (+500)
  • No (NA)

I must admit, this SummerSlam prop bet caught me off guard and made me laugh out loud. If this PPV was on Netflix, I would say “yes.” Unfortunately, for those thirsty WWE fans out there, this is on Peacock and I just don’t see a nipple slippage happening. I think the better question for WWE fans is who would be the wrestler you want to see this happen to the most.

Bet: No (NA)

Will Jake Paul Appear?

  • Yes (+200)
  • No (-300)

As of now, there are no signs of Jake Paul appearing. It would certainly make for an interesting storyline if Jake showed up in his hometown to help his brother. The Paul brothers could be a lucrative storyline for the WWE. And, with Paul coming off a recent win over Mike Perry, he has the free time on his hands until a possible showdown with Mike Tyson.

If you want to risk taking a flier, I wouldn’t fault you. But, it’s probably best to play it safe with this one despite the creative opportunities if it did happen.

Bet: No (-300)

Number Of Tables Broken During SummerSlam

  • Over 2.5 Tables (-120)
  • Under 2.5 Tables (-120)

This is actually a tougher WWE prop bet to choose which option to wager on. The odds are even for both betting options, which only adds to the difficulty.

We could certainly see numerous table spots at SummerSlam. Or, we could see none if the WWE decides to have other ways to emphasize the physical pain. Probably best to avoid this prop bet. However, if you insist on betting, I say go with the Under.

Bet: Under 2.5 tables (-120)

Will The Wyatt Sicks Appear?

  • Yes (-110)
  • No (-130)

The WWE recently announced that The Wyatt Sicks will make their in-ring debut next Monday on RAW. Fans started speculating as to why the WWE did this instead of at SummerSlam.

One good theory is because next week’s RAW will emanate from CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, where the original Wyatt Family made their RAW debut on July 8, 2013.

Does that mean that this new faction can’t still appear on SummerSlam? My answer to that is “why do they need to”?

There’s plenty going on at SummerSlam this weekend, so it’s better to save that moment for TV instead of adding it to a stacked PPV event.

Bet: No (-130)
