On Saturday, February 15, WWE’s NXT brand will be live from the CareFirst Arena in Washington D.C., for the 2025 Vengeance Day event. This marks the 13th overall Vengeance PPV in WWE history. However, it’s only the 5th Vengeance event for the NXT franchise.

The Vengeance brand was first used in 2001, and held annually until 2007. There was a one-off in 2011, before WWE completely shelved this brand name for the next decade. It was revived in 2021, for the NXT brand, and held annually since then.

This year, although the Premium Live Event is for the NXT promotion, the WWE decided to remove the NXT logo from the event poster and added a few stars from their main roster to the show.

Currently, the 2025 Vengeance Day card features three NXT title matches with both of the top men’s and women’s titles on the line. It remains to be seen how many matches the WWE adds to the lineup before Saturday.

The 2025 Vengeance Day event will stream live on Peacock with a bell time of 6pm ET. International markets can watch this NXT PPV on Netflix.

With that said, let’s take a closer look at the available WWE odds, courtesy of the top sports betting sites, and make our NXT Vengeance Day predictions.

It’s hard to get excited about betting on Vengeance Day when most of the favorites have massive odds in two of the three championship matches. Giulia is a -4000 favorite as she defends her NXT Women’s Championship in a fatal four-way match. Oba Femi is an even bigger favorite with -10000 odds as he defends the NXT Men’s Championship in a triple-threat bout.

The only favorite that has even the smallest of betting value is Ethan Page (-150) in his singles match against Je’Von Evans. Stephanie Vaquer (-300) also has reasonable odds as she challenges Fallon Henley for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Yet, I would expect these odds to rise before the event.

Lastly, not all of the confirmed matches have available Vengeance Day odds as of this writing.

NXT Vengeance Day Predictions

The following NXT Vengeance Day predictions are for the confirmed matches as of this writing:

Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans

  • Ethan Page (NA)
  • Je’Von Evans (NA)

The feud between Ethan Pag and Je’Von Evans stems back to last December. After going down the rabbit hole of depression and despair, due to losing the NXT and NXT North American titles, Evans decided it would be a good idea to make fun of Page.

This caused Page to snap and attack Evans where he broke his jaw with a chair. A few weeks later, Page would take out Evan’s partner Cedric Alexander by crushing his hand with a toolbox.

On the January 14 episode of NXT, Page would crush Dante Chen’s leg with steel steps. This brought out Evans who returned after four weeks off due to his injury. However, Page would drop him with one punch.

Eventually, Evans would challenge Page to a match at Vengeance Day and it became official this week. As for the winner, I like the roll that Page is on. In fact, this unhinged character is quite entertaining to me. I would prefer to see him get back into the title picture or move up to the main roster since there’s not much left for him to accomplish in NXT.

Bet: Ethan Page (-150)

NXT Strap Match

  • Trick Williams (NA)
  • Eddy Thorpe (NA)

At New Year’s Evil, Trick Williams lost the NXT Championship in a triple-threat match, which we will go into more details further below. The important aspect from that match, other than losing the title, is that Eddy Thorpe was also in the match and he’s obsessed with making Williams suffer.

However, this obsession started last December and hasn’t stopped since then. Thorpe turned heel after faking a backstage attack on himself to earn a title shot against Williams. The two would meet in a match that ended via double pin-fall, which meant that Williams kept the belt.

On the February 4 episode of NXT, Williams and current NXT champ Oba Femi lost in a tag-team match to the A-Town Down Under. Thorpe came out and interfered by hitting Williams with a leather strap. After the match, Thorpe would whip Williams with that strap.

This feud has really taken it up a notch, especially with the leather strap. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the intensity and intrigue over this rivalry.

As for the match this weekend, you have to go with Williams. He’s already lost a few big matches in the first six weeks of the year, including the NXT Championship.

This leather strap match is the kind of stipulation that ends rivalries and moves wrestlers on to new feuds. So, I expect Williams to pick up the victory.

Bet: Trick Williams (NA)

NXT Tag-Team Title Match

  • (c)Nathan Frazier and Axiom (NA)
  • Briggs and Inamura (NA)

While competing in Pro Wrestling Noah, Josh Briggs ended up connecting with Yoshiki Inamura. The two would eventually form a tag-team and turn their collective attention towards the NXT Tag-Team titles.

On this week’s episode of NXT, Briggs and Inamura competed in a triple-threat title match to determine the number one contender for the tag titles. They would end up winning the match by defeating No Quarter Cash Crew and the team of Hank Waller & Tank Ledger.

Nathan Frazier and Axiom have been the tag-team champs since September 1, 2024, when they defeated Chase U for the championship belts at No Mercy.

It’s their second world title reign as they first held the belts from April 9 to August 13, when they lost them to Chase U.

Also known as Fraxiom, the tag champs are legitimately one of the best teams in NXT and that’s not just because they hold the titles.

So, the question comes down to whether or not the WWE wants to take the belts off of them for the second time in six months.

I have a hard time thinking that the WWE would do something silly like this. I’m not a fan of the hot-potato approach to booking championships especially when it’s the same wrestlers winning and losing the world titles. Take Fraxiom to retain the NXT tag-team titles.

Bet: Nathan Frazier and Axiom (NA)

Women’s North American Title Match

  • (c)Fallon Henley (+200)
  • Stephanie Vaquer (-300)

If you watched the women’s Royal Rumble match a few weekends ago, you would’ve seen Stephanie Vaquer put on a solid performance in a lackluster match. In fact, you might have noticed just how talented and smooth she is inside the ring when compared to many of the other top stars.

The 31-year-old signed with WWE last year after a bidding war with AEW. She was a big star in Mexico for the CMLL promotion. Vaquer was the first woman to hold the women’s title and tag-team title at the same time.

Vaquer really made noise in pro wrestling last June when she feuded with Mercedes Money in AEW. They put on one of the best women’s matches in all of pro wrestling during the Forbidden Door PPV.

Mone would win the match, retain her TBS title, and take the Strong Women’s belt off of Vaquer. Yet, the latter would look like a star and sing with WWE a few weeks later.

On January 1, at New Year’s Evil, Vaquer won a fatal four-way match to become the #1 contender for the women’s NXT North American championship.

The following week, Vaquer battled Shotzi to determine who would fight the champ (Fallon Henley) next. Although Vaquer won the fatal four-way, Shotzi pinned Henley in a six-woman tag team match at New Year’s Evil. So, both women had a claim for the #1 contender spot.

Shotzi would beat Vaquer due to outside interference. However, a few weeks later, Henley would beat Shotzi to retain the title. After that match. Vaquer came out and declared her intentions to win the belt and a match was made for Vengeance Day.

Like Vaquer, Henley also spent time in AEW. However, her run was in 2020-2021 and it was unmemorable. Henley would return to the WWE in 2021, where she’s been ever since.

Henley has held multiple NXT championships as singles and tag-team competitor. She captured the North American title at Halloween Havoc last October and has held it ever since.

I’m a big fan of Vaquer. I think her in-ring work is top-notch. With a little bit of time adjusting to the WWE style and pace, I believe Vaquer will become one of the Top 5 female wrestlers in WWE and NXT.

She’s an incredibly talented star who can compete against anyone. I expect Vaquer’s ascension to begin this weekend as she wins the North American Championship in a stellar match.

Bet: Stephanie Vaquer (-300)

Women’s Triple Threat NXT Title Match

  • Roxanne Perez (+900)
  • Bayley (+700)
  • (c)Giulia (-4000)

Eventually, I see Vaquer moving on to The NXT Women’s Championship later this year. For now, we’re focusing on the current batch of top-tier women’s stars which includes both Roxanne Perez and Giulia.

Giulia captured the NXT Women’s Championship at New Year’s Evil in January 2025. She defeated Roxanne Perez for the belt. Perez had held the title since April 2024. In fact, Perez is a two-time NXT women’s champ.

Perez joined Charlotte Flair and Shayna Baszler as the only women to hold this belt twice. Perez also has the 4th longest combined days as champ at 384. Baszler holds the record for most combined days as champ at 548 days. Asuka holds the record for the longest title reign at 522 days.

Bayley was also a former NXT champ having won the title in 2015, and holding it for 223 days. The multi-time WWE women’s champ was injected into the Perez vs. Giulia rivalry after the former showed up on SmackDown in January following her loss to Giulia at New Year’s Evil.

Bayley and Perez ended up brawling at the latter’s SmackDown appearance. A few weeks later, Bayley showed up at NXT and was interrupted by Giulia. Eventually, Perez and her partner Cora Jade would come out and brawl with Bayley and Giulia.

This led to tag-team match, which Bayley and Giulia won. However, NXT GM Ava came out after that and made a triple-threat bout for the NXT Women’s Championship at Vengeance Day.

Things were going according to plan until this week’s episode of NXT. On the February 11 episode, Cora Jade defeated Bayley due to interference from Perez. Due to this result, Ava came out and announced that the NXT Women’s Championship match will now be a fatal four-way.

With that said, you can see that Giulia is a large betting favorite and rightfully so. She’s only held the belt for a little over a month and it makes zero sense to have her lose it in this match. Currently, Giulia has the second shortest title reign, but it’s one day longer than Indi Hartwell at the time of this writing.

Giulia is being built up as a star in NXT and will eventually move to the main roster later this year. Bayley is already a legit star on the main roster and doesn’t need an NXT Championship. Perez has held this belt twice and is on her way up to the main roster. Cora Jade is not yet a true title contender at this point in time. So, all the dots connect to a Giulia victory.

Bet: Giulia (-4000)

Men’s Triple Threat NXT Title Match

  • Grayson Waller (+1000)
  • Austin Theory (+800)
  • (c)Oba Femi (-10000)

As mentioned above, Oba Femi is a massive betting favorite for this NXT Championship triple-threat match. Ironically, he won the title in a triple-threat match at New Year’s Evil by defeating Eddy Thorpe and former champ Trick Williams.

Williams held the title on two separate occasions, but it’s Samoa Joe who holds the record with three title reigns. Williams’ combined reigns lasted 172 days which is the 10th longest as of this writing. Femi has the 24th longest reign as of now. Adam Cole’s 403-day singular reign is the record for NXT Champion.

So, like Giulia, Femi has only been the champion for a little over a month. And, we bring up those previous reigns because some WWE Fans think that Femi could lose the championship this weekend despite the online betting sites thinking he’s a lock to win.

Femi is facing Austin Theory and Grayson Waller who are tag-team known as A-Town Down Under. On the January 28 episode of NXT, Femi was a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect. It basically turned into a segment where Theory and Waller put down Femi and questioned his abilities.

Eventually, Femi declared that he could beat either man in a match. NXT GM Ava came out and made a Vengeance Day match where Femi would have to fight both men instead of just one. Apparently, Ava took offense to Femi deciding who his opponent would be.

With that said, I still don’t see Femi losing the championship this weekend. The odds, the title reign, and the storyline has me thinking that Femi will come away looking stronger than ever. This match will really jumpstart his title reign as Femi picks up the win.

Bet: Oba Femi (-10000)

NXT Vengeance Day 2024

The following is a quick recap of the 2024 NXT Vengeance Day event:

Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Final

Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker defeated Trick Melo in the finals of this tournament. They would earn an NXT tag-title shot and eventually cash that in to win the belts on February 13, 2024.

Six-Person Tag Match

The Family would defeat OTM after Tony D’Angelo hit his “Forget About It” finisher on Lucien Price for the pinfall victory.

No DQ Match

Dijak would defeat Joe Gacy in this no disqualification match. Dijak hit Gacy with a nightstick and then delivered his finisher for the pinfall victory.

Triple Threat NXT Women’s Championship Match

The triple threat match included Lyra Valkyria, Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice. Valkyria entered the match as the champ. Vice cashed in her Breakout Tournament contract for a spot in this bout.

Perez was close to winning the match, but Tatum Paxley came out and attacked her. This allowed Valkyria to eventually hit her finisher on Vice for the pinfall victory.

NXT North American Championship Match

Oba Femi successfully defended his NXT North American Championship against Dragon Lee. The finishing sequence saw Femi hit a lariat, hip toss, and pop-up powerbomb on Lee for the pinfall victory.

NXT Championship Match

This match saw plenty of chaotic moments including multiple refs. However, in the end, Ilja Dragunov would end up beating Trick Williams to retain his NXT World Championship. After the match, Carmelo Hayes turned on his former partner Williams and beat his injured leg with a steel chair.
