Super Bowl LVI is almost here. It’s a bittersweet time for football fans everywhere. The arrival of the Big Game means it’s the end of the football season, but it’s also a complete entertainment package. The Super Bowl is sports and a show all rolled into one. As the LA Rams get ready to face the Cincinnati Bengals, fans around the world are tuning in.
Super Bowl LVI is expected to break all previous sports betting records for a Super Bowl. Most of the attention will be on the normal targets, the moneyline, the spread, and the Over/Under. However, this year’s Super Bowl MVP award is also receiving a lot of action.

Close Race for This Year’s Super Bowl MVP
There are hundreds of Super Bowl prop bets, but betting on the MPV seems to have an inherent pattern. Playing for the winning team is an essential requirement for all past winners – except one. In Super Bowl V, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Chuck Howley was the only person to win the Super Bowl MVP award from a losing team.
Seventeen of the past 20 MVP awards have gone to the offensive side of the ball, and Super Bowl LVI’s quarterbacks are top targets. They’ve taken four of the last five, as well as nine of the previous 12. Both quarterbacks are the front-runners for Super Bowl LVI MVP honors.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford is the Rams’ top Super Bowl MVP wager. The award would be the culmination of a memorable debut season in Los Angeles. Stafford asked for a trade from the Lions and was immediately successful out West.
Burrow could be awarded MVP honors if the Bengals win. The price of betting on Cincinnati as an underdog varies depending on which sportsbooks are available in your state. Burrow’s case is further strengthened by the fact that Chase will have success if Chase does not.
Quarterbacks Aren’t the Only Popular Targets
Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp, a player with the same value as Stafford, is an attractive option in the Super Bowl odds. Kupp won the NFL’s Triple Crown as the NFL’s best receiver, topping the charts for yards, touchdowns, and receptions.
There’s a good argument for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Some could argue that the Rams were able to stay alive until the Big Game because he was brought in. OBJ was crucial in the postseason and will be another strong target in the Super Bowl. Although his odds aren’t that good, if he shines, he could be selected as the MVP.
Tee Higgins comes second on the list of Bengals receivers – Ja’Marr Chase is first. However, the Rams are going to have to pressure Chase a lot on Sunday. That could give Higgins an opening. He’s coming off a 103-yard game in which he caught six touchdown passes on 10 targets. If he can perform even better and find the goal line at least once, then he’ll have a chance.
It’s a difficult choice to make. However, if the Rams win, barring any major surprises, Stafford is almost automatic for the award.
