Despite Croatia’s heroics in 2018, Belgium is the favorite to win Group F. The Red Devils find themselves second in the FIFA World Rankings, just behind Brazil. Here’s a look at what to expect from Group F.
Belgium World Cup Preview 2022

Regardless of their obvious quality, it is difficult to predict how Roberto Martinez’s boys will fare in Qatar. Sure, they have claimed easy wins over Poland and Wales this year, but they have also suffered two defeats to the Netherlands.
In Kevin De Bruyne, Belgium boasts arguably the best midfielder on the planet. With superstars such as Thibaut Courtois, Youri Tielemans, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku also on board, they shouldn’t struggle to qualify for the knockout phase.
That said, the Red Devils have failed to live up to expectations at recent major tournaments. They finished third at the 2018 World Cup before falling in the quarterfinals at last year’s European Championship.
Croatia World Cup Preview 2022
Odds to Win Group F: +225
Croatia heads to Qatar on the back of several positive results, having won each of their final four Nations League games. When you look at the bigger picture, they have suffered a solitary defeat in eight outings this year.
The 2018 World Cup runners-up held France to a 1-1 draw in June before beating the French 1-0 in Paris in September. They have also seen off Denmark, Austria and Bulgaria in 2022, emphasizing their strength.
Even at the age of 37, Luka Modric has the ability to run the midfield. If players like Mateo Kovacic, Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic join the party, Croatia could create more World Cup magic in Qatar.
Morocco World Cup Preview 2022
Odds to Win Group F: +800
Morocco could prove to be one of the surprise packages of the 2022 World Cup. After all, the African nation is blessed with multiple world-class players – many of which play for some of Europe’s elite clubs.
Paris Saint-Germain wing-back Achraf Hakimi and Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech are the standout names on the roster, while Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri and West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd are also worth keeping an eye on.
The Atlas Lions have lost just two of their 12 games in 2022. They also managed to keep back-to-back clean sheets against Chile and Paraguay in September. Consequently, they will fancy their chances of qualifying from Group F.
Canada World Cup Preview 2022
Odds to Win Group F: +1100
It is easy to understand why Canada is the Group F outsider. The Maple Leafs’ first and only World Cup appearance came all the way back in 1986 and they suffered three straight losses without scoring a goal that year.
Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies is Canada’s leading light, while Lille’s Jonathan David has the potential to cause opposing defenses trouble. However, the Canadian roster lacks strength in depth in every department.
In my eyes, Croatia offers the greatest betting value when it comes to wagering on the winner of Group F. Although Belgium is the bookies’ favorite, the Croatians are more than capable of qualifying for the last 16 as group winners.
