2023 March Madness Final Four Odds and Picks

The 2023 March Madness tournament has been filled with surprises. We’re now down to the Final Four. Both of the games will be played this Saturday (April 1st 2023) at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Where to Bet on the Final Four

This is the first time in history that a #1, #2 or #3 seed haven’t made the Final Four. #9 Florida Atlantic will play #5 San Diego State, while #5 Miami will play #4 UConn. Any of these teams could win it all.

Florida Atlantic vs. San Diego State Predictions

Money Line: Owls (+110) vs. Aztecs (-130)

Spread: Owls +2 (-110) vs. Aztecs -2 (-110)

Total: Over 131.5 Points (-110) vs. Under 131.5 Points (-110)

The Florida Atlantic Owls punched their ticket to the Final Four by defeating #3 Kansas State (79-76) in the Elite Eight. Four of the Owls starters scored 13+ points in the win against the Wildcats.

The San Diego State Aztecs defeated #6 Creighton (57-56) in a thrilling game. It wasn’t pretty, but SDSU played solid defense and managed to win on a last-second free throw by Darrion Trammell.

It’s tough going against the Owls. FAU score 77.4 PPG (30th) and rank #15 in offensive efficiency (1.101). They also play good defense and are only allowing 65.4 PPG (39th) this season.

Final Four Odds

San Diego State are scoring 70.8 PPG (174th) and allowing 63.1 PPG (22nd).

Both teams play at a slow pace. SDSU average 68.5 possessions per game (251st) and FAU average 70.3 possessions per game (160th). The Owls are also a top rebounding team (38.8 RPG – 14th).

This is going to come down to the wire, but the Owls efficiency will see them advance.

Best Bet: Owls +2 (-110)

Miami vs. UConn Prediction

Money Line: Hurricanes (+200) vs Huskies (-240)

Spread: Hurricanes +5.5 (-110) vs. Huskies -5.5 (-110)

Total: Over 149 Points (-110) vs. Under 149 Points (-110)

The UConn Huskies have been smashing opponents in the tourney. UConn have won all four of their games by 15+ points. They defeated #3 Gonzaga in the Elite Eight by 28 points (82-54).

The Miami Hurricanes have been on a great run as well. The Hurricanes have wins against #4 Indiana (85-69), #1 Houston (89-75) and #2 Texas (88-81). The Hurricanes were down eight points in the game against the Longhorns at halftime, but they outscored Texas 51-36 in the second half.

Miami are a high-scoring team (79.6 PPG – 14th), but they allow 71.9 PPG (218th). UConn are scoring 78.8 PPG (21st) and allowing 64.4 PPG (31st). UConn rank 9th in rebounds (39.3 RPG).

Final Four Predictions

With the way the Huskies have been dominating opponents, it’s tough to bet against them. They have cruised to the Final Four and will be confident of winning the National Championship.

Miami have scored 85+ in their last three games and I also expect plenty of points.

Best Bets: Huskies -5.5 (-110) and Over 149 Points (-110)
