We’re going to predict which player will hit the most home runs during the 2023 MLB regular season.
You don’t need to only bet on MLB team futures, there are also a number of MLB player futures markets, such as who will hit the most home runs. The potential payouts can be lucrative as well.
Aaron Judge hit the most home runs in 2022 with 62, which is the seventh-most home runs hit during a single regular season in MLB history. Judge is the favorite to hit the most home runs in 2023 (+500).
Top Contenders to Hit the Most Home Runs in 2023
There are four players paying 10/1 odds or lower for this MLB futures betting market.
Aaron Judge (+500)
Judge smashed 62 HRs during the 2022 MLB regular season. It was the most home runs he has hit in a single season (52 in 2017). The Yankees signed Judge to a $360 million contract this offseason.
If Judge can stay on the field this season, he’ll be among the 2023 MLB home run leaders.
Yordan Alvarez (+900)
Alvarez has a big bat and he hits in the clean up spot for the Astros. Alvarez made his MLB debut in 2019 and he smashed 27 HRs in 87 games. He hasn’t been able to maintain that pace since, though.
Alvarez hit 33 HRs (144 games) in 2021 and 37 HRs (135 games) in 2022, which ranked 6th in MLB.
Mike Trout (+1000)
Trout has done lots on the baseball field, but he has never led MLB in home runs during a season in his career. Trout hit 40 HRs (tied for 3rd) last season. His highest total was 45 HRs in 2019.
Much like Judge, Trout will contend for the most HRs in 2023 if he can play 120+ games.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+1000)
After hitting 48 HRs (tied for 1st) in 2021, Guerrero Jr. saw his power drop in 2022 (32 HRs). He only played one fewer game last season than 2021, so it’ll be interesting to see if his power comes back.
Guerrero Jr. plays nearly every game for the Blue Jays, so he definitely has a chance.
2023 MLB Home Run Leader Predictions
Best Bet: Pete Alonso (+1100)
There are a number of players to consider for the 2023 MLB home run title, including Kyle Schwarber (46 HRs in 2022), Austin Riley (38 HRs in 2022) and Christian Walker (36 HRs in 2022).
However, I’m betting on Alonso this season. Alonso jumped up to the Majors in 2019 and he smashed 53 HRs, which is his highest total. He hit 37 HRs in 2021 and 40 HRs in 2022.
Alonso will be hitting in the clean up spot and expected to hit for power. Like everyone else, he’ll need to stay healthy, but that hasn’t been a problem for Alonso yet in his career.
He has consistently smashed the baseball and he’ll be among the leaders after the regular season.
