The PGA TOUR is in the traditional holiday break period, making this a perfect time to look forward to the 2023 Majors. The four tournaments considered to be Majors are the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open and Open – also known as the British Open.
Last season the Majors kicked off with Scottie Scheffler winning the Masters in Augusta, Georgia while keeping Rory McIlroy in the rearview mirror. That was in April with the PGA Championship following in May. Justin Thomas won in a dramatic playoff over Will Zalitoris.
Next up were the two Opens. The U.S. Open was won by Matt Fitzpatrick. The young British golfer bested both Schefleller and Zalitoris for the win. The final Major of 2022, the Open at the Old Course, was won by Cameron Smith before he left the TOUR.

Bet on These Golfers to Win a PGA Major in 2023
Rory McIlroy +200
Rory McIlroy looked a bit rusty during the latest rendition of The Match. That’s to be expected as he has taken off several weeks during the start of the holiday break. Rory seems to get stronger as the season progresses. He was part of the story for each of the Majors last season and should be one of the strongest players on TOUR this coming season. He has won four Majors to date. He won the 2011 U.S. Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship and 2014 PGA Championship.
Will Zalatoris +400
Will Zalatoris came agonizingly close to winning his first Major last season. He has been a Major runner-up three times in his short PGA career. He was the lone 2nd place player last season at the PGA Championship. He also finished T2 at the 2022 U.S. Open and 2nd at the 2021 Masters Tournament. Zalitoris was referred to as the best PGA Player without a win several times last season before winning the 2022 St Jude Championship.
Tony Finau +800
Tony Finau had a breakout season in 2022. He won the 3M Open by three strokes over Emiliano Grillo and Im Sung-Jae. He then won the Rocket Mortgage Classic by 5 strokes over Patrick Cantlay, Taylor Pendrith and Cameron Young. He then won the Cadence Bank Houston Open by 4 strokes over Tyson Alexander to start his 2022-2023 season. He also was part of the Presidents Cup team where he won three of his four matches.
