Reviewing this previous Sunday’s NFL results, the UNDER bet on the total line had the slight 7- 5 edge. Year to date, around 55% of the NFL games played have stayed UNDER the closing line.
The big issue betting the NFL total line this season has been the lack of consistency from week- to-week. For example, Kansas City goes from scoring 13 points one week to 41 the next. None the less, I have come up with five solid total line plays for this Sunday’s games.
Texans at Titans Week 11 Total
Best Bet: UNDER 45.5
The Texans have lost their last eight games straight-up with the total staying UNDER in five of their last seven games. They managed just nine points in Sunday’s loss to Miami. Tennessee is riding a SU six-game winning streak. The total has stayed UNDER in three of five home games this year.
The total has stayed UNDER in four of the last five meetings in this AFC clash at Tennessee. Look for the Titans’ defense to lead the way in another matchup that stays UNDER the closing line.
Packers at Vikings Week 11 Total
Best Bet: UNDER 49
Green Bay is back on track with Aaron Rodgers under center. However, his team only managed to score 17 points against Seattle in Week 10. The total has stayed UNDER in five of Minnesota’s last seven games.
The total has stayed UNDER in the Packers’ last seven games. It has also stayed UNDER in six of the last seven games between these two teams in Minnesota. It has stayed UNDER in nine of the last 13 meetings overall.
Saints at Eagles Week 11 Total
Best Bet: OVER 44
This is a NFC battle between two teams that been hard to handicap all season long. However, the total has gone OVER in five of the Saints’ last six games. Philadelphia has scored a combined 98 points in its last three outings.
Look for a higher scoring affair than suggested by the low 44-point line. Neither team’s defense has played with much consistency this season. The total has gone OVER in four of the last five meetings between the two in Philadelphia.
Cardinals at Seahawks Week 11 Total
Best Bet: UNDER 50
The Cardinals are coming off a dismal 34-10 loss to Carolina with quarterback Kyler Murray still out of the lineup. Despite the return of its quarterback Russell Wilson, Seattle was just shutout 17-0 by Green Bay.
Head-to-head, the total has stayed UNDER in four of the last six meetings in this NFC West tilt. It has also stayed UNDER in six of the Seahawks’ last seven games. With the current line set at 50 points, the UNDER is a gift in this Sunday’s matchup.
Cowboys at Chiefs Week 11 Total
Best Bet: OVER 54
Two of the highest scoring teams in the NFL clash in this inter-conference tilt. After scoring just 16 points in a dismal loss to Denver, Dallas responded with 43 points in Sunday’s win against Atlanta. As mentioned, the Chiefs just put up 41 points against Las Vegas.
The current total is set high in this game but not high enough. Each team is going to have to score points to win given its inconsistent play on defense. Dallas has averaged 31.6 points through nine games. Kansas City is the third-highest scoring team in the AFC.
