The Breeders’ Cup decides all the championships in US horse racing during the two-day event. Normally held on Friday and Saturday in early November, the Breeders’ Cup has 14 Grade 1 horse races on dirt and turf. The most popular horse tracks across the country are host to this fabled event.

Where to Bet on the Breeders’ Cup

Fridays in early November are championship horse racing events for two-year-old thoroughbreds, both colts and fillies. Saturdays are championship events involving horses three years old and up. There are horse races both on dirt and turf from five-furlong sprints to 1½ miles. You can bet on all the horse races in the two-day Breeders’ Cup events, highlighted by the BC Classic as the featured graded stakes race.

BC Juvenile: 1 1/16 miles on dirt with a prize purse of $2 million

The highlight of the Breeders’ Cup Friday’s race card is the BC Juvenile. Some of the best two- year-old thoroughbreds compete for the title and the No. 1 ranking of next year’s Kentucky Derby Trail.

BC Filly & Mare Sprint: seven furlongs on dirt with a prize purse of $1 million

BC Turf Sprint: five furlongs on turf with a prize purse of $1 million

BC Dirt Mile: one mile on dirt with a prize purse of $1 million

BC Filly & Mare Turf: 1 3/8 miles on turf with a prize purse of $2 million

BC Sprint: six furlongs on dirt with a prize purse of $2 million

BC Mile: one mile on turf with a prize purse of $2 million

BC Distaff: 1 1/8 miles on dirt with a prize purse of $2 million

BC Turf: 1½ miles on turf with a prize purse of $4 million

BC Classic: 1¼ miles on dirt with a prize purse of $6 million

A full card of Saturday’s racing is highlighted with the Breeders’ Cup Classic. This Grade 1 stakes race qualifiers included the Grade 1 Stephen Foster Stakes, the Grade 1 Haskell Stakes and the Grade 1 Pacific Classic.

The overall Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series is world-class horse races in the summer and fall that qualify for early November’s Breeders’ Cup events. The BC Classic is the premier Breeders’ Cup event of the year.
