CFL Week 11 Odds and Predictions

It was a stunner, but Montreal defeated Winnipeg last Thursday to knock the Blue Bombers from the ranks of the unbeaten. Winnipeg is now 9-1 and will enjoy a week off as the rest of the CFL is in action in Week 11.

CFL Sportsbooks

The Alouettes (3-6) will try and build on their big win of a week ago. They will host Hamilton. BC, which also has just one loss this season, travels to Saskatchewan looking for its fifth consecutive victory. The Lions are the top-scoring team in the CFL. Can they continue their streak?

Here’s a look at all the CFL Week 11 odds and predictions.

Edmonton Eskimos vs. Ottawa Redblacks

Spread: OTT -4.5 / Total: 48 Points

PICK: UNDER 48

Edmonton is dead last in just about every defensive category you can think of. The Elks give up 36 points per game, allow 379.1 yards per game, and give up 5.4 yards per rush attempt. They have a hard time getting to opposing quarterbacks. The Elks have a CFL-low 14 sacks.

Ottawa is almost as bad. The Redblacks pass defense gives up 9.6 yards per attempt. Only Edmonton allows more. The Elks had one of their better defensive games last week against Saskatchewan. They still gave up 34 points.

Neither team can be trusted to cover. Ottawa is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games and Edmonton is 1-4 ATS in its last five. Neither offense averages more than 20 points per game and both have quarterback issues.

Of the last ten meetings between these two teams, the Under is 8-2.

BC Lions vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders

Spread: BC -3.5 / Total: 51.5 Points

PICK: BC LIONS -3.5

hqdefault

BC averages 36.9 points per game this season. QB Nathan Rourke is tearing up CFL defenses. Saskatchewan’s defense gives up a shade under 24 points per game and Rourke torched it for 32 points on July 29. BC beat the Riders 32-17.

Saskatchewan lost three straight before beating Edmonton last week. Surprisingly, the Riders are 8-1 SU in their last nine against BC and 7-2 ATS in those nine games. They have won 16 of their last 21 home games and are 4-2 ATS in their last six home games.

None of that matters against a BC team that should challenge Winnipeg for the Grey Cup. BC is 8-1 SU in its last nine games overall and 7-2 ATS. The Lions are 6-3 SU in their last nine on the road and 4-1 ATS in their last five road games. Rourke and company are too strong for the Riders.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. Montreal Alouettes

Spread: MTL -3 / Total: 48.5 Points

PICK: HAMILTON +3

Coming off the big win over Winnipeg last week, look for the Alouettes to suffer a letdown. Montreal is just 1-4 in its last five games against Hamilton. Plus, the Alouettes are only 3-8 in their last 11 games and 2-4 in their last six at home.

The Tiger-Cats beat Montreal 24-17 on July 28 and they are 3-2 on the road this season. Hamilton is 7-3 SU and ATS in the last 10 games against Montreal.

Expert Football Picks

Calgary Stampeders vs. Toronto Argonauts

Spread: CAL -2.5 / Total: 50 Points

PICK: CALGARY -2.5

Calgary is 5-3 this season with all three losses coming in their last four games. All three losses came against Winnipeg and BC. The Stampeders lost 41-40 to the Lions just last week. Calgary has a pair of losses to the Blue Bombers each by a single touchdown.

Toronto has two losses in its last three games. Those came to Hamilton and Ottawa. No comparison there. Calgary is 11-5 in its last 16 games and 7-2 SU and ATS in its last nine on the road. The Stampeders are also 8-2 SU and 6-3-1 ATS in the last 10 games against Toronto.

Despite being on the road, back the better team to cover.
