College Football Week 11 Parlay Picks

Ain’t I not so amazing? I’m not sure – did we win anything last week?

Actually we did win a couple, with a total on the Army-Air Force game and then, of course, Purdue taking advantage of Michigan State’s letdown to beat them.

But I guess it felt doubly bad because I went with the old alma mater (Miami) for once and they did not come through.

Purdue at Ohio State Parlay Betting

Purdue vs. Ohio State Picks

Time: Saturday, November 13th — 3:30 PM ET

ATS Odds: Ohio State Buckeyes – 21 (-110) vs. Purdue Boilermakers + 21 (- 110)

The Play: PURDUE + 21 (-110)

Ohio State is in good position to get into the playoff, as they are listed fourth in the CFP rankings. And obviously we acknowledge that Purdue has lost three games. But this is an upset minded crew, having beaten Iowa and Michigan State already. And the Buckeyes have Michigan State and Michigan looming on their schedule over the next two weeks. Purdue quarterback Aidan O’Connell is dangerous; he threw for 536 yards against Michigan State, and his 71.5% accuracy rate is fifth best in the nation.

We have no doubts about the ability of the Ohio State offense, and their first-year quarterback CJ Stroud has been outstanding (67%, 25-5 touchdown – interception ratio). But Purdue’s defense, allowing just 18.4 points per game, isn’t necessarily a joke. Let’s look for the Boilermakers to at least hang in there and make a game of this into the fourth quarter.

College Football ATS Odds

Notre Dame at Virginia Parlay Betting

Notre Dame vs. Virginia Picks

Time: Saturday, November 13 – 7:30 PM ET

ATS Odds: Notre Dame Fighting Irish -5.5 (-110) vs. Virginia Cavaliers +5.5 (-110)

The Play: VIRGINIA +5.5 (-110)

Notre Dame still has a chance to get into the playoff, because they have only one loss. Of course, that loss was to Cincinnati, which is getting the short end of the stick but is situated above them.

Listen, Virginia’s defense is not big league — they gave up 734 yards to BYU and are surrendering more than 500 yards per game overall, as Bronco Mendenhall might want to yield his control of that unit to a coordinator in the near future.

But Notre Dame is not the most explosive team on offense, averaging just 3.7 yards per carry. And Jack Coan has only had one 300-yard game this season. Meanwhile, Virginia is tops in the nation at 545 yards per game, and Brennan Armstrong, who has thrown 27 touchdowns, is second in the country in passing yards. Hey – these guys threw up 42 points in the first half at Provo, before running out of gas in the altitude.

Notre Dame’s defense is kind of middle of the pack against the pass, as they’ve given up 231 yards per game and 7.1 yards per attempt. Virginia might make them get into a shootout, in which case they’re not in bad shape.

Northwestern at Wisconsin Parlay Betting

Northwestern vs. Wisconsin Picks

Time: Saturday, November 13 – Noon ET

ATS Odds: Wisconsin Badgers -24 (-110) vs. Northwestern Wildcats +24 (-110)

The Play: WISCONSIN +24 (-110)

Wisconsin is on a roll, finally, with five straight victories, and maybe, just maybe, QB Graham Mertz has gotten well, with 240 yards and three touchdowns against Rutgers.

Northwestern’s quarterbacks have not been trustworthy, and they have used four of them. The Wildcats average under six yards per passing attempt. And Wisconsin does not leave teams a lot of room to run the ball. They’re allowing 1.9 yards per carry, and they rank in the top five in stuff rate and opponent’s success rate. They also have the 11th best sack rate in the country. That’s a lot of “D” to deal with.

Northwestern has played three games on the road, and they are 0-3 SU/ATS in those, allowing 119 points.

College Football ATS Picks

Washington State at Oregon Parlay Betting

Washington State vs. Oregon Picks

Time: Saturday, November 13 – 10:30 PM ET

ATS Odds: Oregon Ducks -13.5 (-115) vs. Washington State Cougars +13.5 (-105)

The Play: WASHINGTON STATE +13.5 (-105)

Oregon is fifth in both the Associated Press and Coaches poll, but in the most important rankings — the college football playoff rankings — they are third. So there’s not a lot of margin for error here. But Washington State is not to be dismissed; they have responded to the firing of Nick Rolovich with some inspired play against BYU and Arizona State, and now they come off a bye week. They are just a couple of points away from a five-game winning streak, and have covered six in a row. Oregon has failed to cover any of their five home games, and for what it’s worth, the Cougars are 10 –1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.

Georgia at Tennessee Parlay Betting

Georgia vs. Tennessee Picks

Time: Saturday, November 13 – 3:30 PM ET

ATS Odds: Georgia Bulldogs -20 (-110) vs. Tennessee Volunteers +20 (-110)

The Play: GEORGIA -20 (-110)

You would kind of like to think that Tennessee could keep Georgia’s defense off-balance with their fast-paced offensive approach. And there is no question they have a better QB at the controls than they have had in the past in Hendon Hooker (21 TD’s, 2 INT’s and 457 yards rushing). But you got to remember that the Volunteers have run the ball 59% of the time, and the ‘Dogs own that part of the game. Georgia has allowed just 2.6 yards per carry, with their stop unit yielding only 59 points total.

And behind Stetson Bennett (11.8 yards per attempt!), the Bulldogs are actually more efficient on offense, ranking fourth nationally with an average of 6.9 yards per play. Tennessee’s defense lacks; they have faced four ranked teams this season and gave up 163 points, not to mention 565 yards per game over their last three.
