College Football Week 6 Over/Under Picks

The weather was a factor last weekend, as a lot of rain-soaked venues saw their fields compromised by Hurricane Ian or the remnants of the storm.

However, college football is played in other places beside the South and East Coast, so every game will be impacted differently. Here’s a look at the top five game total picks for week 6.

Missouri Tigers vs. Florida Gators

Missouri vs. Florida Predictions

Best Bet: Over 54.5 Points

The Gators have been up-and-down under first-year Florida coach Billy Napier, which is to be expected. Where Florida, which averages 32.2 points per game, has excelled is in the running game. The Gators average 211 yards per game, which ranks 22nd nationally.

Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson, who has thrown five interceptions for the 3-2 Gators, has been excellent on the road, scoring five rushing touchdowns this season. Running backs Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne have both gained over 200 yards this season while averaging over 5.0 yards per carry.

Missouri will be eager to bounce back after losing a double-digit lead at home in a loss to No. 1 Georgia. The Tigers offense hasn’t been as effective vs. fellow Power 5 opponents, but will need to try and keep pace with Florida if it wants to win.

College Football Odds

TCU Horned Frogs vs. Kansas Jayhawks

TCU vs. Kansas Predictions

Best Bet: Over 68 Points

This is a big number for two teams that are more than capable of scoring a ton of points. Both Big 12 squads are also undefeated, which has surprised many.

The Jayhawks were thought of so lowly they were picked to finish last in the Big 12. TCU pulled a stunning upset over Oklahoma last week, where the Horned Frogs demonstrated their offense was capable of big things.

The offense for both sides are capable of hitting big plays and that will allow this one to be a can’t-miss match-up for college football fans.

Tennessee Volunteers vs. LSU Tigers

Tennessee vs. LSU Predictions

Best Bet: Under 62 Points

The Volunteers play at a blistering pace. Tennessee is third in the nation in scoring, averaging 48.5 points per game. LSU won’t be interested in making this game a shootout.

Playing under first-year coach Brian Kelly with a transfer quarterback, LSU would prefer if the scoring in this game stayed at a much lower volume. While the over is 3-1 in Tennessee games this year, the one game that went under actually went to overtime against a more defensive-minded Pitt team.

Despite Tennessee’s best efforts, this one will stay under.

College Football Picks

South Florida Bulls vs. Cincinnati Bearcats

South Florida vs. Cincinnati Predictions

Best Bet: Under 58 Points

The Bulls will have a hard time troubling the Bearcats defense. Cincinnati is once again excellent on that side of the ball, limiting its opponents to 20.3 points per game, which is the 36th best mark in the country. The Bearcats will smother South Florida for the win.

Virginia Tech Hokies vs. Pittsburgh Panthers

Virginia Tech vs. Pittsburgh Predictions

Best Bet: Under 44 Points

The Panthers prefer to keep the ball on the ground. All five of Virginia Tech’s games have gone under the total this season.

Pitt quarterback Kedon Slovis has struggled as of late. Both teams will struggle to put points on the board in this old Big East rivalry.
