NCAAF 6-Point Teaser Picks for Week 9

Coastal Carolina at Marshall Predictions

Best Bet: Chanticleers from +2 to +8

Coastal Carolina is coming off a bye following a shocking beatdown at the hands of Old Dominion. The Chanticleers have an excellent offensive attack led by veteran quarterback Grayson McCall. Marshall has been up and down this season.

The Thundering Herd are 4-3 overall and 1-2 in Sun Belt play. Marshall is more comfortable in low-scoring games, limiting opponents to 16.6 points per game. McCall will lead Coastal Carolina’s offense to some points and the Thundering Herd will struggle to keep up.

Pittsburgh at North Carolina Predictions

Best Bet: Tar Heels from -3 to +3

North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye has to be excited waiting for an opportunity to play against Pittsburgh. The Panthers love to keep their defensive backs in single coverage. That may be a problem against the Tar Heels, who love to play at tempo and throw the ball.

North Carolina may romp to a victory against a Panthers team that is trending in the wrong direction.

Missouri vs. South Carolina Predictions

Best Bet: Gamecocks from -4 to +2

South Carolina got embarrassed like many other teams will be this season by Georgia in early September. Since then, the Gamecocks have figured things out, winning four straight to inch into the AP top 25.

Missouri stopped a three-game losing streak by beating SEC cellar dweller Vanderbilt last week. The Tigers offense is still struggling and won’t find life easy against the Gamecocks, who will win their fifth straight game.

USC at Arizona Predictions

Best Bet: Trojans from -15.5 to -5.5

A week off may have been at the perfect time for the Trojans. USC suffered its first loss of the season two weeks ago, losing at the wire against Utah on the road. Now the Trojans will head to the desert to try and beat up on Arizona, which is being outscored by nearly eight points per game.

USC quarterback Caleb Williams should have a big game to help the Trojans roll to a victory.

NCAA Football Picks

Kentucky at Tennessee Predictions

Best Bet: Volunteers from -12.5 to -2.5

The Wildcats would be comfortable if the game could stay in the 20s, but there is little chance the Volunteers will allow the scoreline to stay so low.

Tennessee, led by veteran quarterback Hendon Hooker, averages 50.1 points per game. Kentucky’s defense, which only allows opponents to score 16.4 points per game, will need a miracle to maintain that pace.

The Wildcats will be hoping Tennessee has its eyes on a meeting with Georgia, but the Volunteers are good and will roll to a win.

Temple at Navy Predictions

Best Bet: Midshipmen from -13.5 to -3.5

Navy’s football program has fallen on hard times after a sustained run of success. The Midshipmen have shown in conference play, however, that teams that aren’t prepared for the triple option will still struggle to keep up. Temple has had a tough season, only scoring 14.9 points per game.

The Owls won’t have much success against Navy either.
