Consistent Profit for NBA Handicappers, 1 Month from Playoffs

The NBA Playoffs are right around the corner, so our handicappers have been putting in work. Last week we saw another breakout performance from a newcomer, Ross Walker. His 14-5 record made him $850 overall.

Check out how the rest of the NBA handicappers did last week, and see where we’re betting in this upcoming week.

The Best NBA Handicappers Last Week

A pretty average week for NBA handicappers, with $2,740 in profit. Together, the top five cappers went 56-26 and ended with a 68.3% win rate overall.

The win rate is much lower than in week 20, but profit is about $400 higher, so that’s a win in my book.

Plus, we got to see some new faces and returning champs. Patrick Doyle is back at it with, and I don’t think we’ve ever seen Ross Walker on the leaderboard before.

Ross Walker with a Solid Entry to the NBA Leaderboard

New to the scene, Ross Walker is coming in strong with a 14-5 record and $850 in profit for week 21.

Handicapper Leaderboard 1

His NBA betting strategy last week included spreads (as any good NBA handicapper’s should) as well as totals.

Walker’s spreads weren’t anything wild, with around -108 to -115 lines on each. He bet fairly consistently and it paid off.

Picks 2

For his totals wagers, he managed to go 5-0, which is pretty impressive. All his totals were -110 and he had a fairly balanced plate of overs and unders.

This past week really solidified Walker as a top-tier handicapper, with a conservative betting approach, good line-sense, and control of his budget.

I went back in his betting history to try and find something wrong with this man, but he’s been pretty consistent overall. For the past 90 days, his NBA betting record is 89-78 with $344 in profit. So he’s batting average, but still in the green. Walker is definitely a handicappers that we’ll be watching out for in the future.

Where We’re Betting This Week

Our handicappers have gotten in a handful of wagers for NBA games happening tonight.

These include:

  • Spread: Oklahoma City Thunder -10 points at -110
  • Spread: New York Knicks -8.5 points at -110
  • Spread: Sacramento Kings +5.5 points at -110
  • Moneyline: Orlando Magic at +120

I agree with all these wagers, though I think the Magic should be priced a bit better, considering they are the 8th in the East while the Rockets are 2nd in the West.

We’re inching closer to the playoffs, so we’ll be watching some of the cusp teams. The Suns are very close to making it into the top 10, which would earn them a seat in the playoffs. This week, though, they play the Cavaliers, which, oof. Nothing like going up against the best team in the league to try and secure a playoff spot.

In a similar vein, the Mavs also need to be careful because they’re teetering on the edge. They play the Pacers tonight and the Pistons on Friday, so they have their work cut out for them.
