The showing from our top five handicappers during the last recap wasn’t great. Less than $1,000 is a low-point in the season.
But this week, not only is the money up, so is the win rate. A staggering 94% win rate from our top five handicappers indicates a come-back for our NHL bettors.
Take a look at who did the best, and what games we’re watching this week.
First Showing from Kyle Parker
We haven’t seen Kyle Parker grace the number 1 spot yet, and this week he manages it with a 6-1 record, 85.71% win rate, and over $600 in profit.
Parker managed to win six moneylines in a row, which is a pretty impressive feat. He wasn’t just betting the favorite either. You’ll see that he placed four underdog wagers and two favorite wagers.
A shame he didn’t win the totals wager on the Knights v. Stars game, but overall, he has a very firm grasp on NHL betting.
Top NHL Handicappers Last Week
During our last recap, the handicappers made less than $1,000 in profit. Last week, though, our top five managed to do a bit better. While they didn’t necessarily wager more, they ended up winning more wagers overall. We only had 1 loss in the top five last week, which is really good.
Overall, the top NHL handicappers went 18-1 for a 94.7% win rate. Together, they brought in $1,929 in profit.
In terms of win rate and profit, last week was one of the best we’ve seen this season.
Frankie the Fan Falters with Sharp Money Insight
It was tough to find a bad beat last week, with only one lost wager in the top five. I expanded my purview a bit and looked at the top ten, zeroing in on Frankie the Fan.
Frankie went 7-3 last week, winning $250. That’s not bad, but it wasn’t good enough to grace the top five. He placed a +1.5 spread on the Rangers in their matchup against the Hurricanes on the 28th. Unfortunately, the wager lost, and with a final score of 4-0 Hurricanes, it’s a wild loss.
I took a look at some of the consensus data to see where sharp money was at for that game.
Lo and behold, Frankie was betting along the sharp money, with a spread on the Rangers expected to win. There was even sharp money on the Rangers moneyline, but alas.
It just goes to show you that all the data in the world doesn’t make up for the grit and luck some of these teams have.
Where Our Money’s at This Week
Tonight we’ll be watching the Maple Leafs and the Wild. These two teams are at the top of their game this season, so it’ll be an awesome match. Some of our handicappers already have their bets in, and so far, we’re seeing the -170 moneyline on the Leafs as the go-to wager.
Friday, we’re going to watch the Sabres and the Predators. Both of these teams have had terrible luck this season, but the Sabres are a bit ahead of the Predators. Honestly, it could go either way, but the Sabres always try to put on a good show.
And of course, Saturday we’ll be watching the Capitals and the Jets. These two teams are dominating right now, and it’ll be a fast-paced game, for sure.
